Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?
Uptown Cheapskate! It's my favorite resale shop. Great prices and they always have something different. And it's in a good location on South Lamar.
What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?
West Campus area?
What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?
Stand up paddle boarding! You have to go down to a rental place on the water if you don't own your own gear.
What’s the most expensive restaurant / spa / hotel you’ve ever been to in Austin? How much did it cost and what did you get there?
The most expensive restaurant...Lonesome Dove. I think I tried kangaroo nachos there or something crazy like that.
Where can you get the best cocktail in Austin? Which one do you like?
Honestly, I like to go to the Deep Eddy distillery. Deep Eddy is a local Vodka and you'll see them at almost every public event in Austin. The distillery is pretty far out, but it's a neat visit! And you get to keep the Deep Eddy glass that your drink comes in.
Which snacks can you only get in your country, and which ones do you recommend?
Maybe candied pecans :)
What’s the one place you think is overrated in Austin?
Sixth Street. If you've never been here, you should go for a second and then go to a way cooler place around the corner, like Barbarellas or Cheer Up Charlie.
What’s the one place you think is underrated in Austin?
Moontower Saloon. They say it's "way south Awesome."
What are the Austin spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?
Don't miss South Congress blvd. Start at Guero's for tacos and margaritas or Home Slice Pizza and check out the funky stores and people. Also, check the state Capital and Zilker Park. If you want a little hike with a view of the city, go to Mount Bonnell, or check out the 360 bridge.
Tomorrow’s your last day in Austin. How do you spend it?
On the lake! It's a river, but we all call it a lake. I would want to have a party barge on the lake as a going away party.
