What do you do and why do you do it?

I am a history teacher who believes that education can change the world! I am passionate about history, education and my students! Currently, I am doing a Master's Degree in Art History in Barcelona.

Who’s your hero and where in Sao Paulo would you take them out for a serious hang?

My father is my hero. I would take him to enjoy the view of Montjuic, then to appreciate the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Mar and have a good dinner at some basque restaurant in the Ciutat Vella.

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

I have no favorite places to buy clothes ...if I liked it and the price is fair, I buy it.

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

Eating on the Rambla restaurants.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Visiting and appreciating Gaudí works, besides expensive, there are always huge lines.

What’s the most decadent / extreme dish you ever ate in Sao Paulo and where did you get it?

A paella in one of these downtown tourist restaurants ... there was only thawed rice and virtually no seafood.

Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in Sao Paulo that you particularly like?

Espai Mescladis, a bar that emerged from the initiative of employing immigrants. The price is fair ,fantastic atmosphere and the food particularly good.

What’s the most expensive restaurant / spa / hotel you’ve ever been to in Sao Paulo? How much did it cost and what did you get there?

Any restaurant for tourists is priced above average, but I always look for places with fair prices.

What restaurant in Sao Paulo looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

La Bodega d'en Rafel.

Where can you get the best cocktail in Sao Paulo? Which one do you like?

Walking in the Born neighborhood there are fantastic bars for drinks. It is difficult to choose one, but the Bar Sauvage is a good choice.

Where would you take your partner in Sao Paulo if you wanted to really pamper them?

Hotel W with the fantastic view.

Which snacks can you only get in your country, and which ones do you recommend?

The "brochetta de camembert con mermelada de frutos rojos".

What’s the one place you think is overrated in Sao Paulo?

The Barceloneta beach. There are better beaches arround.

What’s the one place you think is underrated in Sao Paulo?

The "Museu d'Art de Catalunya".

What are the Sao Paulo spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

The Boqueria market and Park Guell.

Tomorrow’s your last day in Sao Paulo. How do you spend it?

Watching the sunset in Montjuic after visiting the museums and gardens arround, drinking a good wine.

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

Seville and an entire Andalusia. There is always sun, a wonderful architecture, friendly people, awesome food, beach, mountain and lots of music and party!
