What do you do and why do you do it?

I do lots of things, oh, and I work of course. I work in online communications, and in my free time, I love attending anything cultural: theatre, concerts, readings, lectures. I study Arabic and I volunteer for The Berlin food pantry... I do that because even after ten years I really appreciate everything that Berlin has to offer.

You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?

Deserve to be loved by Zak Abel.

What are the best TV shows of all time?

Friends, Freaks & Geeks, My so-called life, Roseanne.

Name some spots in Berlin that are good for a Tinder date.

Berlinische Gallerie, Café Tasso in Friedrichshain, Kranhaus in Oberschöneweide, Herzberg park in summer.

Who’s your hero and where in Berlin would you take them out for a serious hang?

I would take Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age to Hops&Barley in Friedrichshain.

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

Mostly in thrift shops, sometimes online or in one of the small shops in Friedrichshain.

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

I'm a curious person so would visit them all but I really feel uncomfortable in those lifeless prefab housing areas in some parts of East Berlin, like Hellersdorf.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Go to a museum on a weekday during the day.

What’s the most decadent / extreme dish you ever ate in Berlin and where did you get it?

Some very experimental meal in a pop-up restaurant at Alte Münze in Mitte, very hipster and expensive, very little actual food.

Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in Berlin that you particularly like?

Bett co-working space in Oberschöneweide, it also has a nice café and a flea-market every now and then.

What’s the most expensive restaurant / spa / hotel you’ve ever been to in Berlin? How much did it cost and what did you get there?

The spa at the Soho House Berlin was quite expensive, you pay extra for the name, I think a short massage was more than 100 Euro if I remember correctly...

What restaurant in Berlin looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

The Korean restaurants sometimes look quite uninviting I've noticed, like Hodori in Goebenstraße. But the food at Hodori is great and really authentic.

Where can you get the best cocktail in Berlin? Which one do you like?

Booze Bar in Friedrichshain, I haven't been drinking for quite some time so I don't have a favourite anymore. But the non-alcoholic drinks are quite good as well.

Where would you take your partner in Berlin if you wanted to really pamper them?

To the Vabali spa in Mitte close to the central station. It has a great park where you spend hours and the food in the restaurant is really good as well.

What’s the one place you think is overrated in Berlin?

What’s the one place you think is underrated in Berlin?

Everything outside the Ringbahn!

What are the Berlin spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

Well, yes, Mitte probably, get that over with ;)
