a bit about Jelena

What are you working on these days?

Perfecting the art of morning snoozing.

What drives you mad these days?

Ignorant people in general.

What makes you happy?

Riding my bike though the city in summer and listening to great tunes. Also, live music and festivals in general. Sunshine. Warm weather…I live in the wrong city for constant great temperatures though.

When was the last time you cried?

Some soppy overly emotional movie I reckon.

When it’s time for a new wardrobe, where do you go?

I am one of those people who absolutely despises shopping. I usually buy my clothes either online or when I am on holiday as I have more time and motivation.

What’s your go-to café in Berlin?

Barettino has not only great coffee and breakfasts, but also delicious antipasti and drinks.

What’s your favorite street or neighborhood to wander through?

The streets around Greafestr in Kreuzkölln are a lovely neighborhood with lots of green trees, cafes and the canal nearby.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in Berlin but never actually do?

I love the canal network, which is perfect for renting a boat, yet I never do so.

If it’s been raining outside for days and you’re sick of staying in – where would you go?

Probably to one of the great museums Berlin has to offer. The natural history museum is amazing.

When you feel like a night out, what’s your go-to place and why?

There are many amazing bars around Schlesischers Tor, since I would probably be going to a concert (most of the smaller live music venues are also there) I might go bar hopping in that area.
