a bit about Jens

What are you working on these days?

I am running a music label and a video production company with my partner David in Berlin. We are working on music in the urban genres in Germany.

What drives you mad these days?

Racism, intolerance and bad music!

What makes you happy?

Good music, hanging out with friends and something nice to eat!

When was the last time you cried?

A concert of Charles Bradley because this man is incredible!

What’s your latest musical obsession?

MHD, Charles Bradley, D’Angelo and Simon Grohé an artist of our label.

What was the last movie you watched? Was it any good?

Star Wars, it was great. I am a fan!

When it’s time for a new wardrobe, where do you go?

I shop on the internet!

What’s your go-to café in Berlin?

The Roasters in Neukölln!

What’s your favorite street or neighborhood to wander through?

I think it is the Tempelhofer Flugeld and the area around it!

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in Berlin but never actually do?

Hanging out at the Mauerpark Karaoke but I never go there because it is way to full!

Who’s your hero (dead or alive) and where would you take them to show them a good time?

Michael Jackson, I would take him to the Viasko Vegan Brunch on a Sunday. It is the best vegan brunch I ever had so I am sure Michael Jackson would love it too! 😉

If it’s been raining outside for days and you’re sick of staying in – where would you go?

To the Vabali Spa close to the main train station!

What’s that place in Berlin you feel like only you know about?

A small rooftop close to the Boxhagener Platz in Friedrichshain from where you are able to take a look over the whole city. It is great but I know that some more people know about this spot!

If tomorrow was your last day in Berlin before you left for good, how and where would you spend it?

I think I would spend it on the streets of Kreuzberg, Neukölln and Friedrichshain. I would eat some good food and drink some beers at the Spätis!

Given the choice, mayor of which neighborhood would you be?

What’s the spot in Berlin you wouldn’t be caught dead in?

The Kadewe and the Mall of Berlin!

You’ve just received the best news ever. Where would you go to celebrate and with whom?

I think I would celebrate it at the Swag Jam at Badehaus where you can listen to great Hip Hop live music of one of the best Hip Hop live bands in Germany!

What’s the thing you love doing that isn’t work, relationship or family related?

Eating, drinking and hanging out with friends!

When you feel like a night out, what’s your go-to place and why?

I would go to Kreuzberg and travelling from Späti and end up at Prince Charles I guess!
