What do you do and why do you do it?
I love helping people and was intrigued as to how the human body works so nursing was an obvious profession for me. I work as a cardiac nurse; so I fix broken hearts! I also have a part-time passion connected to nourishing malnourished children through a social entrepreneurship model.

Who’s your hero and where in Brisbane would you take them out for a serious hang?
It might sound corny but my Mum is my hero. She's a totally incredible lady with such passion for life, conviction, fights for justice and loves everyone. Bacchus at South Brisbane is a classy restaurant with fantastic food and beautiful ambience.
Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?
I love Kitten D'Amour Boutique. She's a Brisbane based designer with a vintage vibe
What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?
The Valley on a Friday or Saturday night....it's just a bit sleazy for me.
What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?
I'd love to ride the RiverCat to work every morning, but I have to drive instead
What’s the most decadent / extreme dish you ever ate in Brisbane and where did you get it?
The Euro in Brisbane City. I ordered 'Cotoletta' an incredible pork fillet that was the size of the board...just delicious
Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in Brisbane that you particularly like?
The Walrus Club underneath the famous Regatta Hotel. Has a great vibe, live music and great cocktails. Another favourite is Canvas Club!
What’s the most expensive restaurant / spa / hotel you’ve ever been to in Brisbane? How much did it cost and what did you get there?
The Stamford Plaza is a lovely 5 star hotel in Brisbane City. I've not stayed there but they do have an incredible seafood buffet for $69. Their Chocolate high tea buffet on Sat/Sun is also a must for chocolate lovers. It's $49 for an extreme chocolate indulgence!
What restaurant in Brisbane looks crap, but the food’s amazing?
The Greek Club at West End. Nothing fantastic about the ambience but the food is so delicious.
Where can you get the best cocktail in Brisbane? Which one do you like?
I love Madame Wu on Eagle St Pier looking out over the Brisbane River. They have modern Asian Cuisine, a great cocktail menu but you can't go past their Malteser Espresso Martini
Where would you take your partner in Brisbane if you wanted to really pamper them?
Aquarius Health and MediSpa. I've not been there to experience the treatments there but it looks just like a heavenly experience.
Which snacks can you only get in your country, and which ones do you recommend?
TimTam Chocolate Biscuits...an Aussie favorite. Vegemite is a well known and loved spread for bread or toast...but I think it's yucky but try it! Vegemite cheese scrolls from a bakery.

New Farm There are some great little cafes to try, the beautiful New Farm Park and biking or walking tracks
What are the Brisbane spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?
Views of Brisbane from Mount Cootha at anytime of the day or evening. Walking along the Kangaroo Point cliffs in the night for pretty night views of Brisbane. Our City Hall and free tour. Hanging out at the pools at SouthBank. Riding the RiverCat to enjoy Brisbane River. Exploring the shops and cafes in West End. Exploring the Bayside suburbs for a taste of waterfront living, sparkling water and sandy beach areas.
Tomorrow’s your last day in Brisbane. How do you spend it?
Walking from the Kangaroo Point cliffs to Southbank to enjoy a coffee. Relaxing on the 'green' at Southbank beside the Brisbane River. Eating lunch at The Three Monkeys in West End. Enjoy the setting sun from Mt Cootha and then a scrumptious meal from The Summit Restaurant. Finishing off with a sneaky cocktail at Madame Wu's whilst admiring the Story Bridge at night.
What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?
I love Venice! It has such incredible history, stunning architecture, wonderful fresh food, beautiful music and plenty of places to just walk around and get lost! Plus Gelatio!
