a bit about Ina
What do you do and why do you do it?
I try to live as much as I can 🙂 Through music, movies, photography, traveling.. Human by day and witch by night, a mermaid at sea with a cat attitude. But usually, my daily work consists of working for a multinational company ( a girl’s gotta work, ya know). My days are filled with being woken up by my two adorable cats, going to work, making the best out of it with loads of coffee, going to the gym afterwards or running or just getting lost on the streets. If not, find me on the dance floor 😉
What’s the worst job you’ve ever had and why was it so effing bad?
Working at McDonalds, definitely. 16hrs per day, no breaks, I lost a lot of weight and I barely survived for 2 months. From July to October I was a total zombie, after that I quit. Oh, and I don’t eat fast food since then. So I guess it has its perks.
Were you born and raised in Bucharest?
Born and raised in the mighty jungle. I mean, Bucharest 😀
What’s your current hood in Bucharest and what’s the best/worst thing about it?
Piata Victoriei – I love it. It’s close to the center, it has the subway nearby, my tobacco shop, Kiseleff boulevard, twinkle little lights at night and though it’s always crowded, the chaos makes me feel good. Worst thing? Doesn’t have any hypermarkets nearby, so I have to do all my shopping somewhere else (usually Carrefour Grozavesti or Auchan Crangasi). And buying cat litter stuff and carrying it = not fun, I can tell ya that.
What kind of music do you listen to and what kind of music do you absolutely HATE?
It totally depends on my mood. I can go from jazz, trap, disco to trash metal, rock, heavy metal and so on. I absolutely hate manele and I almost stabbed someone once for playing them too much at a party.
You’re broken hearted – what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?
Probably Amy Winehouse. Definitely Amy Winehouse.
Name the best TV shows of all time, and what makes them so good?
Ughhh, tough choice. I’m a series addict, I’ve watched The Originals, Salem, Grimm, iZombie, Lucifer, Supernatural, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a half men, The Nanny, Southpark, Game of Thrones, Once upon a time…. mostly, everything. I love their stories and if I get hooked I’m a goner 😀
Name some spots in Bucharest that are good for a Tinder date.
I don’t do Tinder so I have nooo freaking idea xD – #sorrynotsorry
Which public figure would you want to see “roasted”? (every public figure is fair game).
Pff.. can’t think of anyone right now, honestly.
Who’s your hero and where in Bucharest would you take them out for a serious hang?
I don’t have one, but the person I’m most proud of is my best friend. And I would take her to our special places to hang out or go to her place for a wine&movie night.
Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?
Second hand stores:)) and IDM Basarab. I hate malls.
What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?
Places where “pitipoance” are found or where manele is being played.
What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?
Pff, I don’t take photos as much as I’d like to and I still haven’t gotten to see all of the museums.
Where do you go in Bucharest for a casual night out?
Usually Lipscani 😀
Where would you go in Bucharest to celebrate some freaking good news?
Lipscani again :))
What’s your choice of transportation in Bucharest and why?
I prefer walking because I hate public transportation – or bikes. But since I cannot walk to work, I choose the subway.
What are the Bucharest spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?
I’d recommend Herastrau, Kiseleff Boulevard+ Calea Victoriei, Piata Universitatii, Magheru Boulevard and the Old Town (Lipscani). Also Casa Poporului, Infinitea (a great tea place) and the Botanical Garden.
What are the Bucharest spots tourists should run from screaming?
:)) Rahova, most probably. Ferentari, also.
Tomorrow’s your last day in Bucharest. How do you spend it?
On Magheru, probably, listening to the traffic and watching all the people passing by.
What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?
Vienna. It’s the only city I would move to. It has the chaos and diversity I love and the vibe which gets me going 🙂
