What are the Cape Town spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

Kloof Street House, Table Mountain, Jerry's Burger Joint.

Do’s and don’ts in Cape Town: (Ex: Tipping: yes/ no, public transport tips, safety tips etc.):

Tipping: Yes (10% is seen as the bare minimum unless you received horrible service then you allowed to not tip). Public Transport is safe between 7am to 7pm, and then you should use Uber or Taxify. When out partying, please make sure you have your possessions on your person and are consious of pickpockets.

What do you do and why do you do it?

I am an actor, who has gone rogue and studied finance and economics and is currently working as a Financial Project Analyst at one of the biggest financial service companies in Africa. This is a very weird combination, but I think the left and right brain are always in competition with one another, and that is why I do what I do.

How much do you spend on an average night out on the town?

R500.

Which Cape Town shops do you hit up when you’re itching for something new?

Cavendish, Canal Walk and V&A Waterfront, I have also become quite the thrifter and vintage shopper!

Your all-time favorite musicians:

Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Brenda Fassie.

Which neighborhood is it best to experience during the day / night?

Observatory, it is an explosion of life and portal into a different world. It showcases all the different spheres Cape Town has to offer.

What’s the area in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

I think exploring all parts of Cape Town is extremely important, and there is something beautiful and worth learning about wherever you find yourself in this city but between you and I... Hout Bay is not my vibe!

What’s the one place in Cape Town you think is underrated?

Observatory, and I am not saying this because I actually live there.

Where would you take a date for a romantic night out?

A night out would definitely be to Kloof Street House, or Test Kitchen but should it be during the day then definitely The Vineyard Hotel.

Drunk and hungry - where do you go in Cape Town?

KFC and McDonald's 24-hour drive-thru's, or grab a "jizz roll" on Long street (these are boerewors rolls/hot dogs that get their name for their orgasmic taste at 4 am in the morning).

It's freeeeezing out - what should a visitor do?

Head to Societi on Orange street and get a table near one of their fireplaces.

Where do you take your guest when you want to impress?

To the Camps Bay Strip.

Your go-to brunch spots:

Between Us, Mink & Trout, Four & Twenty, and Lily's.

Your perfect night out in Cape Town includes:

Sunset drinks at Chinchilla, dinner at Villa 47, pre-drinks at Gold Bar and then a crazy club experience upstairs at COCO.

Which local creators do you admire?

Myself... Hahahah! Jokes, I admire individuals like Anelisa Mangcu, Noxolo Mafu, Warren Papier, Lady Skollie, and Queeezy.

Special views that mainstream tourists don't know about:

The Fresnaye Rock! If you know, you know, and if you don't know, then ask a local.

Best place for a cheap bite on-the-go:

KFC, or McDonald's!

Tomorrow’s your last day in Cape Town. How do you spend it?

I would spend it with some amazing people on the beach, and take in the beauty of this magnificent place.

You’re meeting the mayor of Cape Town - what constructive criticism would you give them?

I would tell him to make the roads wider from Green Point to Camps Bay! I don't know why it is so difficult for 2 cars to drive in a 2 way street!
