What are the Dallas spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

1. Pecan Lodge for one of the best BBQs in town. 2. Dallas Farmers Market on weekends for the fresh produce and local food inside the sheds. 3. Deep Ellum neighbourhood for shopping, food and fun!

Do’s and don’ts in Dallas: (Ex: Tipping: yes/ no, public transport tips, safety tips etc.):

Do rent a car. Everything is saturated in DFW and we are not public transit friendly compared to NYC. Dallas is like any city – there are safe neighbourhoods and there are unsafe neighbourhoods, so do your research and be smart!

What do you do and why do you do it?

I'm a food blogger, showing people it's good to venture out and try new food...they might like it!

How much do you spend on an average night out on the town?

Too much! $60-$100...mostly on food, I don't really drink much.

Which Dallas shops do you hit up when you’re itching for something new?

Honestly, it depends on the day, because Dallas varies so much between different neighbourhoods.

Your all-time favorite musicians:

Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Chainsmokers, The Weeknd, Eminem, Rihanna, Sia, and Tiesto.

Which neighborhood is it best to experience during the day / night?

Uptown and Deep Ellum. Very walkable and you can go from restaurants to bars within 5-10 mins.

What’s the area in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

Irving/Las Colinas. They built the Toyota Music Factory and there are restaurants but all of them can also be found in central Dallas. Not much drawing me there usually unless there's a concert of an artist I want to see.

What’s the one place in Dallas you think is underrated?

Garland. They have a lot of authentic Asian restaurants, but the area is just not hipster enough to be rated!

Where would you take a date for a romantic night out?

Lower Greenville for a more down to earth date and my favourite gelato, Botolino!

Drunk and hungry - where do you go in Dallas?

Velvet Tacos off Knox and Henderson. Expect long lines and the tacos are pretty pricy but you'll be too drunk to care :)

It's freeeeezing out - what should a visitor do?

Drink alcohol to warm up!

Where do you take your guest when you want to impress?

Uchi for awesome fresh fish.

Your go-to brunch spots:

Cane Rosso

Your perfect night out in Dallas includes:

Food, drinks, and good conversations.

Which local creators do you admire?

SAAP Kitchen, for starting a Laotian food movement in Dallas.

Special views that mainstream tourists don't know about:

The Eyeball located on 1601 Main St, Dallas, TX 75201!

Best place for a cheap bite on-the-go:

Friendlys Gas Station tacos for $1 each.

Tomorrow’s your last day in Dallas. How do you spend it?

Eating at all my favourite spots!

You’re meeting the mayor of Dallas - what constructive criticism would you give them?

Reliable public transit. The DART doesn't go to many places. We need trains/subways!
