What are the Dublin spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

A drink in Sophies bar on the roof of the dean hotel at sunset.

Do’s and don’ts in Dublin: (Ex: Tipping: yes/ no, public transport tips, safety tips etc.):

Set up a "my taxi" account as soon as you arrive and don't worry about tipping as they have applied a hailing charge which can count as a tip.

How much do you spend on an average night out on the town?

Depending on where we eat about €80 not including taxis.

Which neighborhood is it best to experience during the day / night?

At least once you should do Camden street at night. It has a great range of bars and clubs nearby and the food offering is great! Daytime Howth is a must and if you like seafood it's the place to go after a walk around Howth cliff.

What’s the area in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

Temple bar, it's a horrendous rip-off! Go once in the early evening if you really have to but have an escape plan... Devvitts on Camden street for live music or Baggot street are much better options.

What’s the one place in Dublin you think is underrated?

Platform 61 on South William street. It's Croatian food with an emphasis on the Mediterranean, so tasty and such good value.

Where would you take a date for a romantic night out?

Richmond restaurant and Sole restaurant are both very good places for eye gazing and hand holding.

Drunk and hungry - where do you go in Dublin?

Ishmael kebab house on Baggot street it is only a takeaway but it is so full of kebab goodness you won't know where your fingers end and the kebab starts so be careful!!! If your not quite ready to go home then head up to Tandoori Bite where you can eat poppadoms and drink pints till 6 am.

It's freeeeezing out - what should a visitor do?

Wear the right clothes!!!! It rains a lot and it gets cold so remember there's no such thing as bad weather you just have bad clothing.

Where do you take your guest when you want to impress?

Zozimus or over to fade street if its dry its the confluence of 5 bars so lots of different people to meet.

You’re meeting the mayor of Dublin - what constructive criticism would you give them?

Pedestrianise Fade street!
