What do you do and why do you do it?
I work at Google as an Account Manager for Travel companies in the UK. It's quite a demanding role at times, but I like working with my team to reach a common goal and find innovative and creative solutions to the most complicated challenges.
You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?
I tend to be "a little" dramatic- my broken heart playlist is no exception. "Experience" by Ludovico Einaudi, "Motion Picture Soundtrack" by Radiohead, "Ocean of Noise" by Arcade Fire, "Baby I'm Gonna Leave You" by Led Zeppelin and "Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks" by The National.
What are the best TV shows of all time?
I'm a huge HBO fan- Game of Thrones, True Detective, Sex and the City, Girls, Big Little Lies, True Blood, Westworld, The Leftovers- literally all of them. I like British shows as well, Utopia and Sherlock are all time favorites and recently I discovered Lovesick. As for the "classics" definitely The O.C, Twin Peaks and Friends!
Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?
Zara, H&M, COS, & Other Stories, Asos, Urban Outfitters are filling up my wardrobe. Apart from those, I really like shopping for vintage and handmade clothes- I always hope to find something that catches my eye when I am traveling.
What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?
I'd love to play the alternative one and say Copper's and Dicey's, but the truth is that I've been there one too many times already!
What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?
I LOVE spending afternoons in outdoor cafés/ bars (best if rooftops) with my friends, sipping on cocktails and making life plans while enjoying warm sun. One of my fondest memories of 2017 is a sunny afternoon spent at Fade Street Social, debating about Turkish vs Greek food and drinking Spritz. Unfortunately, Dublin is not known for its good weather so I don't get to do this more often here.
Where can you get the best cocktail in Dublin? Which one do you like?
I love the cocktails at Chelsea Drugstore- Summer in Surrey is my go to drink every time I go there. Farrier & Draper also has excellent cocktails, Basilico Martini my favorite.
What are the Dublin spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?
Definitely Trinity College, Grafton Street and St. Stephen's Green, especially if it's a sunny day. Also, a street art "tour" around Temple Bar and Portobello.
Tomorrow’s your last day in Dublin. How do you spend it?
I'd probably go for a walk along the Liffey and have brunch at Brother Hubbard. Then stop at a nice café and read for a bit, visit a couple of small galleries and finish the day at District 8 one last time!
What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?
Lisbon, no doubts. I lived there for a few months while I was in university and every time I go back I feel like home. Great weather, friendly people, good food and the most amazing atmosphere, what more do you want?
