What do you do and why do you do it?

Apart from many other things I'm an digital illustrator. I do personalised illustrations, usually of families and I love to get their soul on paper (or on the screen in my case!)

What are the best TV shows of all time?

Who’s your hero and where in Edinburgh would you take them out for a serious hang?

I wouldn't call him my hero but I always imagined walking around Edinburgh (Old Town, Grassmarket) with my favourite Argentinian rock singer, Gustavo Cerati, he is dead now but I know he would have liked it here.

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

I love buying in charity shops and in a shop called TK MAXX because it's a mix of brands and last season's stuff and it opens my mind about what to wear.

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

As much as I like the cemeteries, I wouldn't want to be there at night!

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Just walk! Being a mum of three, finding the time to do a proper wander in Edinburgh's wonderful streets is difficult. And going up Arthur's Seat, an extinct volcano in the middle of the city - the view from there is amazing!

What’s the most decadent / extreme dish you ever ate in Edinburgh and where did you get it?

Deep fried Mars Bar - a local speciality!

What’s the most expensive restaurant / spa / hotel you’ve ever been to in Edinburgh? How much did it cost and what did you get there?

The Honours, a French restaurant in the centre of town, run by a local celebrity chef. It cost about £100 for the two of us but the food was top class.

What restaurant in Edinburgh looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

The chippies (fish and chip shops) - they don't look fancy but it's something you should try.

Where would you take your partner in Edinburgh if you wanted to really pamper them?

To spend a weekend in a castle!

Which snacks can you only get in your country, and which ones do you recommend?

Caramel shortcake, shortbread, fudge. They're all great but caramel shortcake is the best!

What’s the one place you think is overrated in Edinburgh?

None of the typical destinations are particularly overrated, but personally I prefer small castles and there are so many outside Edinburgh just as fascinating as Edinburgh Castle.

What’s the one place you think is underrated in Edinburgh?

Portobello Beach, Dean Village and Water of Leith

What are the Edinburgh spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

Old Town, Cannongate, Edinburgh Castle (it's not necessary to go inside but at least walk to its door), a view from Carlton Hill, Dean Village and Water of Leith.

Tomorrow’s your last day in Edinburgh. How do you spend it?

Crying! hahah walking and walking in its streets!

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

Amsterdam. Don't get my wrong, any old small city would make me happy but my favourite one is Amsterdam. For me it has everything, it's easy to walk (my favourite way to know a place), really cool people, usually very nice too, every corner is beautiful. The houses inside are so stylish! And the Dutch too! There's a lot of different food to choose and it's not an expensive city. You have culture, history, art, good food, style, music, people from everywhere, nice weather, what else can you ask for?
