What do you do and why do you do it?

I am an architecture student in Genova. During my studies I became passionate about art and architecture history. I'm deeply in love with travelling, but the more I visit new places the more I can appreciate my hometown and my country.

You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?

Florence in the machine (almost every song), Mia Martini, Tiziano Ferro, Brunori SAS, Italians are damn good in broken hearted music!!

What are the best TV shows of all time?

Friends, Game of Thrones, the Simpsons, True Detective

Name some spots in Genova that are good for a Tinder date.

Passeggiata di Nervi, because of bars, possibility to walk and the amazing view. If you don't like your partner, at least you can enjoy the sea!!

Who’s your hero and where in Genova would you take them out for a serious hang?

My hero is Chuck Palahniuk and I would bring him in the most ancient part of Genova, where you can see all the contradictions of this city .

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Have a pointless walk in Via di Sottoripa

Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in Genova that you particularly like?

Negroneria Genovese (Salita alla Torre degli Embriaci, 2) cocktails are all revisited and very good, plus inside there is no phone signal.

What restaurant in Genova looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

Kalyma Cafè in Corso Italia 1. This little cocktail bar, very close to the beach has very good drinks (mojito in particular!!). They serve it with special dishes made for aperitif. If you like to join the staff you can party till morning in the bar. (unlikely they have no toilet!!)

Where can you get the best cocktail in Genova? Which one do you like?

I particularly like Negroni Sbagliato. One of the best places for drinks is Hemingway's pub.

Where would you take your partner in Genova if you wanted to really pamper them?

I would bring them to Gelateria Chicco, not really in the city center, but his huge ice cream bowls (or banana split) are amazing!

What’s the one place you think is overrated in Genova?

Casa di Colombo is definitively overrated.

What’s the one place you think is underrated in Genova?

Bocadasse is underrated. It is the ex fisherman's neighborhood.

What are the Genova spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

Every visitor should see the ancient city center, the Ancient Port and Piazza della Vittoria, but to understand Genova you should take a look to Boccadasse, Passeggiata di Nervi, Spianata Castelletto and Via Garabialdi, with Rolli's Buldings and Castello D'Albertis, with his park.

Tomorrow’s your last day in Genova. How do you spend it?

If tomorrow will be my last day in Genova I wish to spend it all walking in the ancient city center, trying to discover a little church I've never been in. I would only stop for a frozen yogurt at Fruit & Ice Factory.

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

For vacations I will always choose London! There is always something cool I've never seen, shopping is great and British accent is so fascinating!
