What are the Hamburg spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

As Hamburg is a harbor city you definitely can't miss the harbor. Hop at Landungsbrücken on one of the public boats (Line 62) which you can use with your regular bus ticket and have a small trip through the harbor. Or if you are harbor addicted and want more (and if you have too much money) go on one of the many tourist boats. The old part of the harbor, known as Speicherstadt, is also very worth seeing. I mean, it is a World Heritage site and it's that for a reason. And if you just travel for nice pictures on Instagram, here you will find a lot of possibilities to take a likable picture.

Do’s and don’ts in Hamburg: (Ex: Tipping: yes/ no, public transport tips, safety tips etc.):

Do: Walk along the river Elbe and around the Alster, take the subway U3 and enjoy the view at station Baumwall, have a Fischbrötchen. Don't: Leave the central station at the wrong side.

What do you do and why do you do it?

I love to ride my bike in Hamburg. In this town you are now every second afraid by getting run over by a truck. And Hamburg is a town of short distances. If you want (and you are fast!) you can reach every place within 20 minutes. More or less... :-)

Which neighborhood is it best to experience during the day / night?

This is not a secret: St. Pauli. This neighborhood is what the word "legendary" was made for. There are still some corners with the feeling of an old harbor city. Love it!

Drunk and hungry - where do you go in Hamburg?

The Reeperbahn. Cause if you are drunk you probably are already at the Reeperbahn. And there a lot of fast food stores.

Where do you take your guest when you want to impress?

The Hafencity with it's Elbphilharmonie. The view from the balcony of the "Elphi" is just impressive!

Your go-to brunch spots:

Go to one of the "Cafe May" Shops. There a several in Hamburg and they all serve good and cheap breakfast.

Your perfect night out in Hamburg includes:

A shot of "Mexikaner". Don't ask, just drink!

Which local creators do you admire?

Udo Lindenberg is a cool guy. Even if I am not so much into his music.

Special views that mainstream tourists don't know about:

The view of the "Altonaer Balkon". Google it!
