I work as a freelance UX Designer.
What’s the worst job you’ve ever had and why was it so bad?
I’ve enjoyed all my jobs!
Were you born and raised in Istanbul?
No. I grew up in Ankara. I fell in love with Istanbul!
What’s your current hood in Istanbul and what’s the best/worst thing about it?
It’s Cihangir which is close to all central spots in Istanbul like Taksim, Beşiktaş, Karaköy, Kadıköy etc. It’s a kind of bohemian area. Many expats live here. Coffeeshops, restaurants, bars, lots of variety.
What kind of music do you listen to and what kind of music do you absolutely HATE?
I listen to pop, jazz, R&B, electronic music. I hate country music.
You’re broken hearted – what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?
Mariah Carey – My all, We belong together.
Name the best TV shows of all time, and what makes them so good?
Friends because friendship is the most important thing in my life.

James Corden, take him for a carpool karaoke in Istanbul traffic.
Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?
Modarden, Terkos Passage, Beyoglu Passage because Turkey manufactures clothes for many global fashion brands you can find hidden in gems in many stores in the back alleys in Istanbul.
What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?
Sailing down the Bosphorus, because its not allowed expect for races held twice a year.
Where do you go in Istanbul for a casual night out?
Joker No:19 in Beşiktaş. It’s a great place for its selections of beers with lively and friendly clientele.
Where would you go in Istanbul to celebrate some freaking good news?
Duble Meze after ten o’clock. They play 80’s, 90’s Turkish pop music. It’s so funny.
What’s your choice of transportation in Istanbul and why?
Istanbul’s traffic is always very heavy so I choose the subway and ferry, also because ferry trips are so relaxing!
What are the Istanbul spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?
Bosphorus, visitors will love it!
What are the Istanbul spots tourists should run from screaming?
There are many shopping malls in Istanbul. It’s not worth going!
Tomorrow’s your last day in Istanbul. How do you spend it?
Wake up early to go have a breakfast in Bebek, then go to Grand Bazaar Eminönü have a döner kebap at Şahin Usta, sit by the sea and drink coffee at House Cafe Ortaköy, have dinner at fish restaurant.
What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?
New York, because I feel like I’ve lived there before.
