What are you working on these days?
Boroughs, Housing, Inspiring Women and NextGen are the programmes I manage at NLA. I develop research, exhibitions and events concerning these topics. I also work with Woodland Tribe building adventure playgrounds with kids. I'm passionate about child friendly cities!
What drives you mad these days?
People who are rude to hospitality staff. There's no need for it. It's nice to be nice.
What makes you happy?
Being outside with friends and eating damn good food and drink.
When was the last time you cried?
Whenever I feel moved
What's your latest musical obsession?
I like to dabble in all genres - as long as its got a good beat!
What was the last movie you watched? Was it any good?
Went to see I, Daniel Blake at rooftop cinema. Moving, relevant and unfortuantely true for many.
When it’s time for a new wardrobe, where do you go?
Generally secondhand stores or sometimes I'll venture into highstreet stores like and other stories. I've got a new rule that if I buy something new I have to sell something old.
What’s your go-to café in London?
I like to mix it up, there are way too many good ones in London.
What's your favorite street or neighborhood to wander through?
I love the back streets of Camden/Islington/Hackney as I walk some of the way home to Walthamstow
What’s the thing you LOVE to do in London but never actually do?
I wish I spent more time at the swimming ponds and lidos
Who’s your hero (dead or alive) and where would you take them to show them a good time?
I'd take Patti Smith for cocktails at Happiness Forgets then to Genesis cinema for their Slam Poetry night.
If it’s been raining outside for days and you’re sick of staying in – where would you go?
For a roast with my friends, somewhere with a fireplace and good tunes. The Scolt Head is our usual.
What’s that place in London you feel like only you know about?
Abney Park cemetery for a peaceful wander. Full of eerie, beautiful tombs, all a little bit wild and overgrown with a big abandoned non denominational church right in the middle. Perfect for dreamy Sunday mornings.
If tomorrow was your last day in London before you left for good, how and where would you spend it?
With lots of friends at the swimming ponds in Hampstead Heath with the ultimate picnic and boozy concoctions
Given the choice, mayor of which neighborhood would you be?
Probably Camden - it covers some of central London and Hampstead Heath too. So much variety and I would love to ban cars in the city centre.
What's the spot in London you wouldn't be caught dead in?
I feel abit out of place in Chelsea
You’ve just received the best news ever. Where would you go to celebrate and with whom?
Vogue Fabrics for some non stop dancing
What's the thing you love doing that isn't work, relationship or family related?
Visiting my bees in the Nomadic Community Gardens.
When you feel like a night out, what’s your go-to place and why?
Guaranteed fun times at Troy bar on a Friday night for Jazz jam sessions
