a bit about Ope

What are you working on these days?

I’m a freelance photographer currently working on a range of projects, in which I create visual content for various companies / brands.

What drives you mad these days?

When travelling underground, the people who stand on the left side of escalators. Always seems to happen whenever I’m in a rush!

What makes you happy?

Good vibes. Good food. Good people.

When was the last time you cried?

Haha! I actually can’t remember..

What’s your latest musical obsession?

No song in particular but A LOT of old school R&B / Hip-Hop.

What was the last movie you watched? Was it any good?

Ip Man 3 starring Donnie Yen. I actually enjoyed it, considering the fact I never got to see the first two films.

When it’s time for a new wardrobe, where do you go?

I have so many places I’d usually dip into but I’d say River Island, H&M and a lot of the sports/street-wear stores are the main ones.

What’s your go-to café in London?

I wouldn’t usually stick to one spot in particular, it really depends on the area of London I’m in but I always seem to end up in a nearby Starbucks or Pret-a-Manger. Convenient in all aspects, can’t really go wrong there.

What’s your favorite street or neighborhood to wander through in London?

When it comes to London, I do a lot of location scouting for shoots and I’ve walked far too many streets to come up with just one. But I do tend to wander around the East parts of London often as I feel there are a some hidden gems yet to be explored.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in London but never actually do?

Visiting art / photography exhibitions. I do once in a while but not as much as I’d like to. It’s definitely a source of inspiration that should be coming on a regular basis really.

If it’s been raining outside for days and you’re sick of staying in – where would you go?

Any galleries or exhibitions showcasing photography / creative arts, Tate Modern to be exact. There’s always something interesting going on there.

What’s that place in London you feel like only you know about?

It’s this student accommodation building which has a stunning balcony view of the city. Not so much a secret amongst my photography community but definitely not known to the general public. I suppose that exclusiveness definitely makes this place a little special for me.

If tomorrow was your last day in London before you left for good, how and where would you spend it?

I’d most probably spend it doing what I do best, photographing anything and everything. Not quiet sure where I’d start though!

Given the choice, mayor of which neighborhood would you be?

Best to stick with the area I live so mayor of Lewisham for sure!

What’s the spot in London you wouldn’t be caught dead in?

Rave events / night clubs, unless it’s work related you’ll never see me there on my own accord. Just not my thing.
