How often can you be suspended way up in the treeline, jumping across obstacles in the heart of London. Go Ape provides exactly that. Strap yourself on and work your way around the amazingly fun obstacle course suspended high in the trees of Battersea Park. After a little workout in the trees enjoy a game of mini golf or a gentle stroll around the beautiful park

Regent’s Park is a diverse and wonderful park to be in. Parts of it are dedicated grass football and rugby pitches, where all ages can be found playing there, especially on a Saturday morning. Other parts include the London Zoo, flower gardens, a small outside theatre, and a lake where you can ride paddle boats. The most prominent entrances are from Primrose Hill, St John’s Wood, and Baker Street. If you’re in any of these areas, it’s worth walking through the park. If it’s the summer, stop by one of the mini cafes in the park and grab an ice-cream. During the winter, bundle up, grab a coffee or hot chocolate and enjoy the crisp London air.

This park is a little gem! You have everything you need to relax: a huge green space, a paddling pool for kids to play and some tennis courts (you can even spot deers but I have to admit that I am not a big fan of seeing them in an enclosed area)

This is a truly charming experience. There are a bunch of cute animals here and once you’re done cooing over the new born rabbits, you can dash inside for an English tea and slice of delicious homemade cake. The atmosphere is quintessentially British and is filled with local families. Great vibe, great part of town. They also do pottery sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings if you’d like to get stuck in! (though you have to wait until the following week to collect your kiln-fired goods…)

This is one of my favourite parks and gardens in London. It is themed and has some wilderness as well as a neatly arranged Japanese themed garden with koi fish and a waterfall. If you can, come here at sunrise as it's very serene and quiet. the surrounding area is interesting too, as there are a lot of celebrities that live around the corner

A lush and quiet alfresco cafe-bar opposite the busy Dalston Junction Railway Station. What a hidden gem! It's a calm and soothing environment filled with lots of trees and greenery, with different types of spots for different folks. For example, there are indoor stable-type seating areas as well as outdoor garden tables and chairs. To add to the cosy factor, they serve seasonal spiced winter drinks and provide warm blankets in the winter months. They sometimes also have live music and other events.

Close to King's Cross train station, this plaza is a perfect spot to rest for a bit, while you're exploring north London. Sit down on the concrete benches facing the canals; maybe they're not the most comfortable seating, but you will definitely be able to relax thanks to the marvellous in-ground water fountains and the canal views. If you're looking for a chat and want to meet new people, enjoy the company of the young artists and creatives, students of the Central Saint Martins University of the Arts, overlooking Granary square. Looking for some proper food? Try the Grain Store or the indian Dishoom nearby.

If you're looking for some tricks, check out the kids skating under the Queen Elizabeth Hall, right next to the Southbank Centre. You can hear them rolling, jumping and smashing their boards from far away when approaching this spot walking by the Thames (great views!). Relax on the railing and watch these young guys doing some kick-flips right in front of you. If you're lucky, some graffiti street artists might be spraying the skate park too. If you're thirsty, you can also have a drink on the roof garden. Look up and follow the yellow concrete stairs!

I love me a City Farm, and Kentish Town has one. City Farms are great, who doesn't like to pet sheep. There are a few in the city, and if you're ever stuck on what to do, there are always these for a day out, especially with kids!

My favourite park in London. An extension of Hampstead Heath, Golders Hill Park contains water gardens, flower gardens, tennis courts, croquet lawns (lol), a butterfly house and a mini zoo (with cool exotic animals like lemurs, maras and kookaburras). I spent so much time here as a kid – hit me up if you ever find 'D♥B' carved into one of the benches. You can get ice-cream in the park and there’s an enormous willow at the back where I feel like 90% of North London kids puffed their first J.

A great arcade, that can get a bit packed, but is huge. Win prizes, and spend your time playing cool retro and new arcade games, as well as bowling, pool, and having drinks.

London's story is one that has began more than a thousand years ago, and will be told for a thousand more. Never is that more true than in Postman's Park, a little garden sanctuary near the hustle and bustle of St Pauls. It's the home of a wonderful and moving tiled memorial to ordinary Londoners who died saving the lives of others. None of the names will be ones you recognise, but in this quiet spot, these men's, women's and even children's heroic acts of self sacrifice are quietly honoured by the ordinary Londoners of today. Go and learn their stories, and remember them.
