Imagine a wild party going off, with all of your most treasured people, incredible acts, lights and sound system, all underneath the arches of a train line. Yep, that’s the Village Underground. It was the first venue I went to when I moved to London and is still the first place I look to go anytime I want to dance the night away. The main reason is that this place feels like a house/warehouse party gone wild, when it is full, it’s not crowded but rather has that familiar and friendly vibe. Wear your comfiest shoes and dance until you can’t dance any more!

My favourite bar to have cocktails on a Sunday night. Each cocktail is named after a member of the Bloomsbury Group, which was a group of associated English writers, intellectuals, philosophers and artists, the best known members of which included Virginia Woolf, John Maynard Keynes, E. M. Forster and Lytton Strachey.

As the Spanish saying goes, this is a place where to dance “like there's no tomorrow.” It is a medium-sized bar with great atmosphere on Thursday nights, serving Mexican beer and Spanish music. The uncanny thing is that for a bit, you will forget you are in London. Mestizo is a great option if you fancy some dancing and do not want to go to a club. Tip: Go downstairs! Skip the restaurant on the ground floor. Thursday night is the best for drinks (not overpriced!), dancing and street food.

Amazing DJs playing old school music. Really fun vibe, and you get to experience a proper / trendy London night out in one of South London's coolest areas: Brixton.

If you love the Caribbean vibe, old school hip-hop and dancing, AND don't mind that it's hot, dirty & underground, The Globe is your place.

Over the years, this camp strip club was finally found by the partying masses. Finally, the creators of fabled East London gay night Sink the Pink created a party called Savage, on every Friday and Saturday. It all started slowly, but now this has become the point of reference for every East London gay man (and their respective fag hags). There are poles, there's a glittery car, and the third floor boasts of a sand floor, four-poster beds and cow hide. What's not to like?!

New club from same owners as XOYO and the Nest. If you find yourself in South West and want to dance, here's your place. Also put on some brilliant Sunday nights for those who don't want the weekend to end...

I DJ here three nights a month and I love it. My favourite bar / club in London. Very cool interior design in an old warehouse / tramshed.

A warehouse-style club which opens up alfresco-style in summer, and closes up in winter. Unlike your commercial clubs in Piccadilly Circus (please avoid at all costs), EGG never fails to play proper house and techno tunes that will keep you dancing all night! EGG is also one of the few Central London clubs that actually operates till 6 in the morning, that's not very common for London clubs (especially in Mayfair, Shoreditch, Soho) which usually shut by 1:30am.

Small, intimate live jazz band in the evening, quickly transforms into lively fun club when chairs and tables get pushed aside to make room for ALL the dancing.
