Very good market in the Clerkenwell area. Loads of options for veggies and vegans. Kin, King of Falafel and Daddy Donkey are some of my favourites. I don't work around that area anymore and I truly miss it. Can honestly say it's one of the best street food markets around.

This is a staple of mine - weekday food market taking up a big area between the Barbican and Old Street. The wide variety of high quality food on offer draws city workers back day after day. Most places take card payments, but to be safe, bring some cash. You can get a decent lunch for around £5-8

This rice and noodle bar is tucked away on the top floor of Whole Foods is this rice and noodle bar. You pick a base, veggies, protein (usually beef, chicken, fish or tofu) and a sauce. Sprinkle on some toppings and you're done! It's around £7, so is cheap and quick in an otherwise expensive area. Not the most mind-blowing food you'll ever eat, but great for a quick bite to eat!

This cute market is just a stones throw from the river, DLR station and Cutty Sark museum. It's covered, so you're all good even if the British weather makes an appearance, and the street food on sale is to die for. The stalls sell everything from handmade jewellery to carved wooden furniture, and the market is ringed by permanent shops and cafes selling art, clothes and food. A great lunchtime trip, in a lovely neighbourhood.

A first class barbecue joint with some of the juiciest thick-cut pork ribs I've ever had. Also worth getting is the brisket bun, the coal roasted aubergine, and the 30 day dry aged beef ribs. Oh, and literally the best sticky toffee pudding in all of London so far. Don't miss it!

Wandering the Regents Canal in East London is always a joy, and a great place to cool off, grab a coffee or refuel is Arepa & Co. It's cool, colourful and fun, and their mojitos are (I think) the best in the city. They've got a great breezy terrace overlooking the canal, and it's a great waterside spot for people watching and seriously great Venezuelan tapas and street food. It's not too far to walk to Broadway Market to the East or Islington to the West, both great places to head on to once you've had your fill of chilled out canalside life.

"Tabun Kitchen is one of the first few in London to focus purely on true Jerusalem Street Food. Something different, unique and tasty." We are talking about grilled halloumi, hummus (Jerusalem style) and Manaeesh (Palestinian Pizza). Really tasty food, giving you the flavours of both West and East Jerusalem. Must Try: Udssieh, Lamb Three Ways, Manaeesh, Harrisa Cake http://outofofficeldn.com/tabunkitchen/
