a bit about Uri & Chloe

What are you working on?

We are both working intensively on our music. Uri has released an E.P a few months ago and gigging with his band around London. Chloe is writing a lot at the moment and recently started working with a producer on her tracks!

What drives you mad these days?

We are both going crazy if we can’t find inspiration to write music, then we really try to help each other to calm down about it and let things come naturally…

What makes you happy?

A lot of things makes us happy but the thing that probably makes us the happiest these days is a chilled Sunday morning without having to rush anywhere…

When was the last time you cried?

I guess the last time we cried was few months ago when we had a big argument… lol… but everything is ok now!

What is playing in your earphones nowadays?

We are both obsessed with David Bowie’s new album Blackstar, not just because he passed away 2 days after the release, but because it’s literally a beautiful album!

What was the last movie you went to?

We went to see the new James Bond film, Spectre. It was alright… nice entertainment we guess…

When it’s time for a new wardrobe, where do you go?

Mmmm we’re not really massively into shopping since we are both musicians so not a lot of money to spend. However, when we do shop we’re looking for some nice vintage shops or even sometimes check charity shops as you can find some really nice stuff!

What’s your go-to café in London?

Our favourite café to meet friends is Kahalia Café in Brick lane. Amazing red velvet cake!!!

Where’s your favourite street or neighbourhood to wander in London?

Mmmm we actually prefer to go to Hampstead Heath to wander around when we have some free time rather than wandering in the streets. It’s nice to have a break from the city in the middle of the day…

What do you LOVE to do in the city but never actually do?

Uri: I love football and would love to go see some games, but tickets are waaayyyyy too expensive. Maybe one day.

Who’s your hero and where would you take them out to eat or drink in London?

Uri: My hero is Elliott Smith. He’s one of my favourite singer-songwriters (though he’s not alive…). If I could, I would meet him on the top of Primrose hill while watching the sunset with a couple of beers, a guitar and a long conversation about music.

What would make a perfect day in the sun for you?

Swimming in the ponds in Hampstead Heath. So much fun!!!

It’s raining for days and you’re sick of staying at home – where would you go?

Café Cairo in Brixton. It has such a cosy, unique atmosphere. We love this place.

What’s a place in London you feel like only you know about?

We sometimes like to go and explore the woods in Hampstead Heath and get lost for few hours. We have our own little spot under a big tree that no one comes around there and we can feel like only the both of us exist in this world.

If tomorrow was your last day in London before you left for good, how would you spend it?

We would probably go to our favourite restaurant – Dishoom. It’s always a proper treat without having to spend too much money and they have the best cocktails too. Amazing food and cocktails is all we need to have a really fun night.

If you were given a choice, mayor of which neighborhood would you be?

Kentish Town – we love this area. It’s lively and interesting, but still not too crazy-busy like other places around the city, so we really feel like at home around here.

What’s your place when you guys have a craving for something sweet?

Ruby Violet ice cream shop. It’s the best ice cream we’ve ever tasted. We could stay there for 200 years and still stay alive because their ice cream is so tasty OMG!

You’ve just got the best news ever. Where would you go to celebrate and with whom?

If there’s a real reason to celebrate, we may go to the Shacklewell Arms to catch a good psychedelic show and dance till we can’t move our feet anymore…

What’s the thing you love doing that isn’t work, relationship or family related?

That’s an easy one – yoga. Best treat for our minds.

When you feel like going on a night out, what’s the first place you usually consider going to?

We love going to Southampton Arms. It’s close to where Uri lives, it’s cosy, they always play good music and they have a massive selection of delicious ale beers that we really like .
