This pizza joint, run by a few young dudes, is where you can spend a late night in a family-friendly encironment. I like their nachos and vegetarian pizza.

I lived next to this low-key, high-quality Italian spot for ages before realizing where, and what, it was. Just behind a gas station is a sexy, date-night or weeknight bar with narrow wooden high tops that turns out an amazing wine list and pizza straight from Italy. The father and son who run the place are all about direct, no-fuss hospitality and will usually pour you a taste of several wines before letting you place your order. The pizza is authentic, stretchy, chewy thinnish crust, and such a welcome relief in a city that's often too health-food focused.

Where do I start with this delicious place! The sauce is ridiculously good. I usually keep it simple with the cheese pizza cause its great and I will say my fave pastas are the Rigatoni Rene and the Puttanesca (I usually sub pasta to rigatoni and add anchovy but it's delicious either way). Love this place because it brings that old school Italian flare and the place has been around since 1968. Its cash only FYI!

It's hard to find good pizza in Los Angeles where the food trends are more Mexican or Asian, but this Roman-style, measure-your-own pizza is amazing! It's a walk-in spot where you show them, with your hands, how much pizza you would like, they use scissors to cut it, and you either take it to go or lounge on their back patio with some excellent wine or beer, also sold here.

Back in the 90's Russel Crowe hired a personal chef from Italy to make pizza for him. Years later he finally opened up his own restaurant that takes classic Neapolitan pizza and turns it on it's head. So much so that Jonathan Gold (Famous LA food critic) called one of his pizzas a small miracle.

Great pizzas, appetizers, and salads. Very inexpensive and delicious! Also, open until 1 am during the week and 2 am Friday and Saturday. You have to have the meatballs and the Margherita pizza. You won't be let down!

Best pizza place for slices available throughout the day that are not just cheese only and pepperoni. Creative deluxe combinations made, a square Sicilian is a welcomed option. Nothing special about the place physically. Deal wise, there is usually a lunch deal for about $6.00- 2 slices and a drink.

The very institution that redefined pizza in LA (and maybe the world!). Nancy Silverton, who was featured in Chefs Table, spends years to create the best of the best. These pizzas are insanely good. I have a personal addiction to the fennel sausage pizza.

Best slice of pizza in Los Angeles. I went to school in New Haven so I am always craving an east coast slice - this is the closest I've had to it. And they do an excellent job. I love the sausage pie. Get their lunch deal - 2 slices & a soda. The garlic knots are excellent as well.
