The Highlight Room Grill is a great place to enjoy brunch or lunch with a view. Located on the roof of the Dream hotel, this place has some of the best views of Hollywood, not to mention yummy food and cocktails. I would make a reservation in advance if you plan to eat here.

Probably the most unLA place situated in the most LA place. They have tons of good food options, and offer lots of other fresh market items. Go to Pampas Grill while you are here. It's a Brazilian cafeteria that offers all types of delicious meats. It's always crowded at lunch time so try and come here at off times.

If you're planning a trip to Pasadena, don't miss this little spot for South American goodies like arepas & churros plus sipping chocolate & coffee. Delicious. My favorite are the Arepas Pabellon and any time I go that part of town, I'm not leaving without eating lunch there. (or having an afternoon snack)

Gjelina has been a trendy spot for quite a while. It's located on Abbot Kinney, the hottest street in Venice. Speaking of food - it's good BUT I prefer dinner menu to a lunch one, which is significantly smaller. Book in advance and ask for patio seating at the back, it's so small that without a special request you unlikely will get lucky. I know it may sound boring but they really do have the best and unusually delicious kale salad:)

Perfect spot for a sunny day. BBCM has a splendid patio and sure not less charming main room. Even though they are open for dinner, as for now it is better to stop by for breakfast or lunch as the menu always stays the same and omelets and salads are its only items. SEAFOOD OMLET is the yummiest thing in the area.

Tsujita LA and its annex location right across the street, are favorites of LA ramen enthusiasts who swear by their tsukemen, or dip-style, noodles. You'll most probably have to wait to get in, but its worth it.

This place is gorgeous! It won the BEST RESTAURANT DESIGN by the Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design in 2016. District's Design Philosophy, "Mirrors its deliciously unexpected approach to food and drink. The resulting atmosphere is a marvellously curated art meets craft, past meets future vibe that is wholly enticing and utterly original." I've only been here for lunch and had the Vietnamese Style French Dip OMGawddd... It was delicious! That said, I can't wait to go back for dinner, I can only imagine what the room looks like with those fabulous lighting fixtures all fired up.

I discovered this out of the way Deli, Restaurant, Bar on Instagram of all places! It's Olive Grove Courtyard at night looked so dreamy I just had to venture into the unknown. My husband had lived in LA for over twenty years and had never been to the Art District of DTLA. I promise you this is worth the trek! We were there 3 times for an afternoon Coffee, Brunch and Lunch before we realised the menu was Vegetarian! Everything is AMAZING! Plus they have a great list of Organic Wines. Be sure to visit for a late afternoon glass of Rosé by the fountain, when the low-lying sun casts beautiful shadows in the Courtyard!

This is the perfect place to get lunch and tea while working on my laptop. It's a nice environment, fast wifi, and the food is RIDICULOUS. I highly recommend the turkey meatloaf sandwich. It sounds weird but it is MINDBLOWING.
