I'm a Business Analyst on weekdays and a Photography Hobbyist on weekends! I do my corporate job to earn a living and so I could fund my travels and my hobby! haha!
What’s the worst job you’ve ever had and why was it so effing bad?
Good thing, there's nothing on my record, yet.
Were you born and raised in Manila? If not, where did you grow up and what brought you to Manila?
Yup! I'm born and raised in Manila!
What’s your current hood in Manila and what’s the best/worst thing about it?
I'm currently staying in San Juan City. The best thing about it? Apart from being at the center of Metro Manila, there are a lot of local restaurants and hang-out places there. The worst thing about San Juan? Going around it can be confusing sometimes as it has a lot of side-streets and people love to double park on our streets.heh.
What kind of music do you listen to and what kind of music do you absolutely HATE?
I can listen to any kind of music but I'm more inclined to listening to Indie and hip-hop! Fun Fact: I'm guilty of knowing a little about K-pop hehehe. Hatest Music? Filipinos love making Novelty songs! And these songs tops our local music charts, friends! Try searching Willie Revillame, then you'll know why I hate it.
You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?
Heart Skipped A Beat by The XX, Our Deal by Bestcoast, Running If You Call My Name by Haim, Walk Away by LANY, How It Ended by The Drums and probably, Frank Ocean's Thinkin Bout You to add some salt to wound hahaha!
Name the best TV shows of all time, and what makes them so good?
How To Get Away With Murder because it is so unpredictable. Breaking Bad, everything about it is badass. New Girl, because I can relate to Zooey Deschanel's character, Jessica Day! Also, Black Mirror and Mr. Robot, it's about time that get to know the dark side of technology.
Name some spots in Manila that are good for a Tinder date.
Going to Finders Keepers for some drinks would be nice. Meeting your Tinder date at Bonifacio High Street is also a good idea.
Which public figure would you want to see “roasted”? (every public figure is fair game).
SENATOR TITO SOTTO. Ugh.
Who’s your hero and where in Manila would you take them out for a serious hang?
My mom and dad. I'd take them to a water spa, then we'll have some parents-daughter talk while relaxing our bodies in a hot herbal pool.
Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?
Mostly from Zara, Mango and Uniqlo.
What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?
At Saguijo Bar + Cafe. I enjoy live music so much that every time I'm going there, I'm always excited. You'll probably see me singing, dancing and drinking the night away because I'm always full of energy when I'm there.
What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?
Care-freely walk in the streets of Manila hehe
Where do you go in Manila for a casual night out?
My friends and I usually go to a neighborhood pub or coffee/milktea shop.
Where would you go in Manila to celebrate some freaking good news?
I'd ask my friends to celebrate it at a bar with bands playing. Saguijo or Route 196, maybe.
What’s your choice of transportation in Manila and why?
The jeepney! because it's cheap and sometimes, funny encounters with other commuters can make your day.
What are the Manila spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?
You can't miss the sunset at Manila Bay. Also, you must go to Intramuros and Escolta.
What are the Manila spots tourists should run from screaming?
The red light district along Makati Avenue. hahaha!
Tomorrow’s your last day in Manila. How do you spend it?
I would go to some of the underrated spots that the locals recommended, then drink a bottle or two of San Miguel Beer Pale Pilsen to cap off the night. :)
What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?
Among all the cities I've been to, my favorite would be Tokyo. From the very nice locals to the vendo machines, I find everything about that city amusing and cool.
