a bit about Francesca

What are you working on these days?

I work for a private equity fund.

What drives you mad these days?

Superficial people…. Nowadays it seems to be more important what you wear than what you really are and feel.

What makes you happy?

Trying new things, discovering new places and sharing time with people I love.

When was the last time you cried?

I do not cry often. I always try to react with a smile.

What’s your latest musical obsession?

I often listen my rock playlisty becouse it give me a lots of energy.

What was the last movie you watched? Was it any good?

I recently discovered different TV series and I do not watch movies anymore… Each episode last less than 1 hour so I have the possibility to do other things in my free time. In this moment I am following “Game of Thrones” and i love it. I really like the story, the setting and the most of characters.

When it’s time for a new wardrobe, where do you go?

Milan give you a lots of possibility for shopping. You can find the best shops ever in “Via della Spiga” in center of Milan. If you are looking at more particular or vintage dresses you should go to Brera while “Corso Vittorio Emanuele” is more commercial . I also suggest “Corso di porta Ticinese” if you are looking at more alternative outfit.

What’s your go-to café in Milan?

I often go to Pandenus…There are 3 different location in Milan but my favourite one is in the Tricolore Square. The quality of Food & Drink is very high. There is good people, good music and it is a very nice place.

What’s your favorite street or neighborhood to wander through?

Brera is a magic place.. It’s a pedestrian zone in the center of Milan where I can walk around historical building. It’s full of bar and shops.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in Milan but never actually do?

I really love walking in the streets of the center discovering particular places. Unfortunately I can’t often do it cause of a lack of time.

Who’s your hero (dead or alive) and where would you take them to show them a good time?

I don’t have a special hero but I always admire people with talent in the art sector (singers, dancers, writers…) I would bring him or her in the top of Duomo to see the city from another point of view.

If it’s been raining outside for days and you’re sick of staying in – where would you go?

On a rainy day I really love going to Palazzo della Ragione… It’s an historical building in the centre of Milan where everyday there is a photo exhibition. It is a unique and magic place.

What’s that place in Milan you feel like only you know about?

When I go in “Villa Reale Comunale” in Palestro Street I feel like a princess of an ancient era. When I look for a quiet and special place I alway visit the palace and then I stop in the park outside the Villa to read some books or listen the music.

If tomorrow was your last day in Milan before you left for good, how and where would you spend it?

I would walk by foot in downtown starting from Palestro park, Brera, Castello Sforzesco to arrive in the heart of Milan … Piazza Duomo.

Given the choice, mayor of which neighborhood would you be?

I would like to be the mayor of Porta Romana the neighborhood where I used to live. I would fill all the streets with many types of Flowers…

What’s the spot in Milan you wouldn’t be caught dead in?

Le colonne di Sanlorenzo.

You’ve just received the best news ever. Where would you go to celebrate and with whom?

The salumaio Restaurant is the best place to celebrate an important news. It’s an elegant and expensive restaurant where I would like to go with my boyfriend.

What’s the thing you love doing that isn’t work, relationship or family related?

I love doing both.. It depends on the day and how I feel.

When you feel like a night out, what’s your go-to place and why?

Mainly depends on the season… In spring/summer I would go to DEUS cafè because it has a very nice decor with a lots of people. In winter I would consider the DRY bar because it’s full of good people and in a good position if I want to change bar/restaurant.
