What do you do and why do you do it?

I am a service designer and I am freaked out when I am asked what I do :) It is simple but complex. If you want to know more about it read the article I wrote about what I do:

You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?

The best way to get out of the gloomy mood is to listen positive songs! Jovanotti's Bella and Zucchero's Baila Morena are some of my favorite remedies ;)

What are the best TV shows of all time?

My first and impulsive answer would be the 'Friends'. I had so much laughs thanks to them. I also found myself binge-watching some recent TV shows such as Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and Girls (a modern version of Sex and The City).

Name some spots in Milan that are good for a Tinder date.

I don't use Tinder but a friend of mine :p suggested me it is cool to go to a cocktail/shot bar called La Chiesetta in Chinatown area. After a good and economic chinese dinner, several funny shots will make your day&date!

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

I love vintage stores! I usually go to 'Bivio Milano' to buy second hand clothing of good quality friends. Also because I love to shop randomly. Everytime I pass nearby, I stop at that store to say hi to my friends working there and check if there are some interesting and original pieces waiting for me. It is like a treasure hunt for me.

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

Since I am an urban cyclist, I avoid the most crowded places like Duomo square and Navigli and explore more silent and cool streets.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Jump in the canal! I heard some friends doing it every year like a ritual.

What’s the most decadent / extreme dish you ever ate in Milan and where did you get it?

I ate, I mean grabbed a bite then ran to the bathroom, a jellyfish in a Chinese restaurant.

Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in Milan that you particularly like?

Pravda, near Porta Romana neighbourhood. I discovered it thanks to Milanese friends. It is very small but highly popular on a not so popular street. You can identify it from the concentrated crowd hanging out in front of the bar and there is nothing else :)

What restaurant in Milan looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

In Milan it's difficult to find a restaurant that looks crap ;)

Where can you get the best cocktail in Milan? Which one do you like?

I have a particular attachment to the cocktail bar named Rita. It is near where I live, on Navigli district, and it became a ritual for me and my flatmate to go there every week to get this cocktail: SPICY FIFTY! Ammmazing!

Where would you take your partner in Milan if you wanted to really pamper them?

Depends on the partner. Mine would be very happy to have an easy, quiet and relaxing place. My plan would be, taking a bottle of wine, biking to Monte Stella, walking on top the hill and watch the sunset while getting drunk and beautiful:)

What’s the one place you think is overrated in Milan?

Corso Como and Corso Garibaldi. I found it a bit cliche and over-crowded.

What’s the one place you think is underrated in Milan?

Isola. But recently, it became a hipster neighborhood with newly opening bars and shops.

What are the Milan spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

3 neigborhoods for sure: Navigli, Duomo, Brera. Then, The Triennale Design Museum and Fondazione Prada are interesting for whom like some art&design.

Tomorrow’s your last day in Milan. How do you spend it?

Eating gelato(ice-cream) 3 times a day! And walking around the city on my own by listening some Italian songs to get in the mood and organising a picnic at Parco Sempione during sunset time with at least 40 friends.

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

For me, vacation means escaping from the crowd and immersing myself into the nature. Since a year, my favorite escape location is Pila, a ski center in Aosta Valley, in the Alps where my boyfriend's family has a house. In whichever season I go, I feel so relaxed and recharged. Favorite activities to do there are hiking, skiing, swimming in the lake, sunbathing on the terrace, sleeping, eating good cheese and ham and drinking Genepi :a very special liqueur made with the local herbs that grow on the mountains of the region.
