What are the New Orleans spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

Magazine Street and the LGD (Lower Garden District) are the two areas that always have me feeling like a local and a tourist at the same time.

Do’s and don’ts in New Orleans: (Ex: Tipping: yes/ no, public transport tips, safety tips etc.):

Do not take the city bus and don't drink too many Hand Grenades or Fishbowls. Do take the streetcar and definitely have a daiquiri from a New Orleans Original Daiquiri shop.

How much do you spend on an average night out on the town?

Somewhere in between 50-60 bucks for a pretty solid night.

Your all-time favorite musicians:

Torn between Jay-Z and Frank Ocean.

Which neighborhood is it best to experience during the day / night?

Day - LGD; Night - The Bywater for the bars and a good chat.

What’s the one place in New Orleans you think is underrated?

Oak Street for sure

Where would you take a date for a romantic night out?

I think the French Quarter is pretty romantic at night.

Drunk and hungry - where do you go in New Orleans?

Gene's Poboys
