Stranger Things, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and Friends. I don't watch that much TV.

Butter & Scotch in Brooklyn, a dessert bar that plays 90s pop music. It's literally made for Tinder.

My sister. We do it often

Zara, Urban and the occasional thrift shop.
What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?
Financial District. Terrible bars and full of bros.
What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?
Walk the Brooklyn Bridge and ride the ferries.
What’s the most decadent / extreme dish you ever ate in New York and where did you get it?
Casu Marzu (maggot cheese) raclette in Astoria . 7/10, would probably eat again if intoxicated and encouraged.
Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in New York that you particularly like?
Toñita's. Nothing like it.
What’s the most expensive restaurant / spa / hotel you’ve ever been to in New York? How much did it cost and what did you get there?
Macao. Not horribly expensive but at least $250 for 2 people w/ drinks. Swordfish and lobster pho. It was great.
What restaurant in New York looks crap, but the food’s amazing?
May Kaidee on 34th. Bare walls and I don't think they even have a sign. Best thai curry I've ever had. It's also fully vegan, and I tend to not like vegan food.
Where can you get the best cocktail in New York? Which one do you like?
Mr. Peanut Old Fashioned at Butter & Scotch.
Where would you take your partner in New York if you wanted to really pamper them?
William Vale in Williamsburg. Plus if it's during morning hours on a weekday when it's empty.
Which snacks can you only get in your country, and which ones do you recommend?
I'm a Colombian expat, so this is a complex question. 'Coffee Delights' are my favorite and you can get them in Jackson Heights in Queens. So good.
What’s the one place you think is overrated in New York?
Katz Delicatessen. It's good but not all that.
What’s the one place you think is underrated in New York?
Mehanata on the lower east. Crazy Bulgarian/Latino dance party. It's exactly as weird as it sounds.
What are the New York spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?
Joe's Pizza on 14th, No Fun at LES, The Corner speakeasy bar, Bar Hugo on Chelsea and Bembe in Williamsburg.
Tomorrow’s your last day in New York. How do you spend it?
Lox bagel at Bagel Pub on Franklin, then go eat it at the Botanical Garden. Go to Bushwick Inlet Park and hang out until lunch. Grab chicken and waffles from Sweet Chick, then go to the William Vale for dessert. Go to the Standard for happy hour, then a slice at Joe's on 14th. Bar hopping in the east village, then head to Bembé for dancing.
