a bit about Danielle

What do you do and why do you do it?

My day job is a Production Assistant, but I am always looking for another project to learn about, whether it's travel or entertainment. I hope to one day combine both passions as I document my travels around the world. I believe that you will never truly work a day in your life if you love what you do and I work every day to make sure that I experience just that. So far so good!

Were you born and raised in New York? If not, where did you grow up and what brought you to New York?

My parents were travel bugs so I went from Colorado to NYC to Florida, Boston, Australia and now I'm back in New York and wondering where I'll go next.

What’s your current hood in New York and what’s the best/worst thing about it?

Right on the border of LES and East Village. Best thing is how close I am to just about everything and worst is how small my apartment is.

You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?

Ed Sheeran. Why make yourself feel better when you can wallow?

Name the best TV shows of all time, and what makes them so good?

Friends - I've seen every episode at least 5 times, and I never stop laughing.

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

I'm not a huge shopper, but I always like a good deal at Scotch & Soda.

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

Times Square

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Picnic in Central Park. I do this anytime it's nice out, but it'll never be enough.

Where do you go in New York for a casual night out?

Does my friends apartment with some wine count?

Where would you go in New York to celebrate some freaking good news?

Warehouse wine and spirits.

What’s your choice of transportation in New York and why?

My feet, always. How else am I supposed to see the guy in the speedo roller blading down the street?

What are the New York spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

The highline, Central Park and some Joes pizza

What are the New York spots tourists should run from screaming?

Times Square, can't say it enough.

Tomorrow’s your last day in New York. How do you spend it?

Walk around the west village till my feet hurt and when they do, have a picnic with good food and good friends.

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

I love exploring new places, but one place i'll never get sick of is Durango, CO.
