Currently on maternity leave, I worked in Foreign Policy at the United Nations and think-tanks. I'm a bit of a global nomad, so international relations were always my natural habitat.

Who’s your hero and where in New York would you take them out for a serious hang?
Sheryl Sandberg is my hero. I'd take her to Nur restaurant (sophisticated Middle-Eastern food) because the food is amazing, but I can also just listen to her wisdom. Dishes are shareable so the bonding will be immediate.
Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?
I shop at ALL SAINTS and Century 21. Its not about where, its all about WHEN to shop. All Saints have an outlet store in Woodbury with greaaaattttt discounts on Labor Day and Black Friday (sales start a day before on both, so avoid the crowds. C21 drops their merchandise by 75-95% (not "up to" - a real drop) twice a year - Dec 25-end of January, and July 1st until Mid August.

DANIEL. Something was on fire, not sure what. Also cocktails with eatable flowers frozen into the ice-cubes.

12 Chairs in SOHO for Saturday morning brunch. Ask for "Jahnon" - don't worry about what that is... just enjoy the comfort food!
What’s the most expensive restaurant / spa / hotel you’ve ever been to in New York? How much did it cost and what did you get there?
AIRE Ancient Baths Spa in Tribeca. Turkish baths and a massage package. (Happy Mother's Day to me!). This place is a MUST - crazy experience. Great for girls night or romantic evening.
What restaurant in New York looks crap, but the food’s amazing?
TOTO RAMEN - Best ramen in town (possibly, the world)

My man? His version of 'pampering' was when I got him a subscription to Chelsea Piers gym for their olympic pool.
