What are the Paris spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?
For a first time visit, you can't miss the most famous places in Paris, a bit "basic" but a must-have of course! The Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysées, Louvre + Jardin des Tuileries, Notre Dame de Paris. A tip: the best place in Paris to see all Paris and the Eiffel Tower is from the top of the Tour Montparnasse, in which you can access for 25€ or if you go the restaurant or take a drink. 360° view.
Do’s and don’ts in Paris: (Ex: Tipping: yes/ no, public transport tips, safety tips etc.):
Don't necessarily tip. We usually leave some coins on the table when some money is left and when it was a good service but it's already included in the prices in Paris. Be careful at the Airport to take true taxis drivers. Do not say yes to people asking you if you want a cab. Taxis are always at same place outside with a waiting area. You can safely take the subway and regional trains but be more careful in the evening especially in Paris suburbs in RER.
How much do you spend on an average night out on the town?
Average is between 50 to 100€. a cheap night example is drinking on a terrasse with some shared tapas or cheese with friends, less than 50€ / pers. For a gourmet restaurant + wine and then a cocktail in a nice cocktail bar (around 12-15/cocktails) it can be more than 100€, 100-150 the night out
Which Paris shops do you hit up when you’re itching for something new?
Usually BHV Marais, my favorite department store for its location but also its selection of high-end brands, trendy brands and always with new stuff and animations. You have 2 separated stores: BHV Men store and BHV main store. Also, I go sometimes to Le Bon Marché because I know they always have trendy new things.
Your all-time favorite musicians:
Difficult question but as I love electronic music and he's one of the most representative of it I'd say Armin Van Buuren.
Which neighborhood is it best to experience during the day / night?
The 3 and 4th district: Marais / Nord Marais: perfect to visit during the day, for its atmosphere, historical streets and buildings, museums (Picasso museum..) and of course all the stores, especially along rue des Franc Bourgeois, from Place des Vosges to Hotel de Ville, my favorite street!
