What do you do and why do you do it?

I'm a barista at a popular coffee shop in the city. I'm currently in the in-between phase as a recent graduate who is still trying to find her calling, but my job is a lot of fun and I've learned so much about coffee!

You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?

"Junie" by Solange, "Freedom Flight" by Shuggie Otis, "Bowery" by Local Natives, "Funky Big Band" by Janet Jackson, "The Glow of Love" by Change, "Something in the Water" by Prince, "Big Smoke" by Tash Sultana... Any song that would lift my spirits. I could literally go on forever!

What are the best TV shows of all time?

I don't watch a lot of tv, but Game of Thrones, Living Single, That '70s Show, Mad Men, Friends, Mad Men, Chewing Gum, and Twin Peaks are definitely on that list

Name some spots in Philadelphia that are good for a Tinder date.

Have dinner and drinks at Talula's Garden and go for a promenade in Washington Square Park OR head to Chinatown's Good Good Comedy theatre for a $5 (BYOB!) comedy show and munch on some delicious dim sum afterwards.

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

I try to stick to thrift and consignment stores. There's nothing like snagging a one-of-a-kind vintage piece on the cheap!

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

East Market Street! I go out of my way to avoid that part of the city.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Spend more time in West Philly! There are is so much cultural capital in that neighborhood, but it can be such an ordeal getting there from where I live.

What restaurant in Philadelphia looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

Panda Cafe is a vegetarian Indonesian restaurant in South Philly that looks like an ordinary little take out joint. I've have never been disappointed by meal there. Hardena is also an amazing Indonesian spot!

What’s the one place you think is overrated in Philadelphia?

Any of those popular cheesesteak spots

What are the Philadelphia spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

See an indie flick at the Ritz theatre, browse around any one of the Jinxed vintage stores, go for a bike ride along the Schukyill River Trail, and try Capogiro's Italian Gelato!
