Who’s your hero and where in Porto Alegre would you take them out for a serious hang?

My absolute hero is Malala Yousafzai! I would take her to La Tasca for croissants and a juice, then off we would go visit the downtown market and finish the day with a visit to Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana. Casual.

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

Well I certainly bought them at either Barra Shopping or Casa das Traças!

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

Moinhos de Vento. Thats for sure.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Grab a piece of cake. Or a brownie. Or both!

What’s the most decadent / extreme dish you ever ate in Porto Alegre and where did you get it?

A gigantic glass of milkshake with everything in it - at Minsk Café.

Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in Porto Alegre that you particularly like?

Definetly! Armazém Porto Alegre.

What’s the most expensive restaurant / spa / hotel you’ve ever been to in Porto Alegre? How much did it cost and what did you get there?

the most expensive restaurant i've been in Porto Alegre was Hashi - they have sort of a contemporary fusion kitchen. It costed aprox. R$170 per person.

What restaurant in Porto Alegre looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

Where can you get the best cocktail in Porto Alegre? Which one do you like?

Vasco, 1020. They switch menus according to the season. Since its winter now, I'd say order the Brumado.

Where would you take your partner in Porto Alegre if you wanted to really pamper them?

I'd take my partner to Mao Sut for a lovely romantic dinner :)

Which snacks can you only get in your country, and which ones do you recommend?

Biscoito de polvilho! Pão de queijo! Fandangos! Paçoquinha! Brigadeiro! Coxinha! Empada! Pudim! Pave!

La Tasca En El Centro - this cute little argentinean bakery.

What are the Porto Alegre spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

Ibere Camargo museum, lunch at Barranco Churrascaria (even if youre a veggie, I swear), nightwalk at Cidade Baixa, drinks at Margot and dinner at Sambo Sushi.

Tomorrow’s your last day in Porto Alegre. How do you spend it?

Eating, definetly! I'd go to at least two of my favorite places to eat, I'd walk around bom fim neighbourhood and enjoy a nice sunset at the south side of the city.

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

New York. So much to do - museums, stores, cool neighborhoods, restaurants and entertainment.
