What do you do and why do you do it?

I'm head of Tinder in Latin America and angel investor in a number of tech start-ups.

What’s the worst job you’ve ever had and why was it so effing bad?

I was a consultant to a Brazilian public entity and couldn't take anymore of preparing useless PowerPoints.

Were you born and raised in Rio de Janeiro? If not, where did you grow up and what brought you to Rio de Janeiro?

I actually moved to Rio de Janeiro 3 years ago, after years of "pilgrimage" across a couple of continents. I was born in Italy, and grew up near Genova. I then moved to Egypt, to the United States and eventually ended up in Brazil.

What’s your current hood in Rio de Janeiro and what’s the best/worst thing about it?

I live in Leblon and I just love it. Everything is within walking distance (including the beach!), it is safe and pretty quiet.

What kind of music do you listen to and what kind of music do you absolutely HATE?

Love hip hop and electronic music, reggae and rock, and can't take the Brazilian country music called "sertanejo".

You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?

I'd listen to Italian rock artist Ligabue.

Name the best TV shows of all time, and what makes them so good?

House of Cards, I love its politics and drama combined

Name some spots in Rio de Janeiro that are good for a Tinder date.

Leblon beach. Any bar in Dias Ferreira. Bla Bla Champanheria in Barra da Tijuca.

Which public figure would you want to see “roasted”? (every public figure is fair game).

I don't really know what is meant by "roasted" lol.

Who’s your hero and where in Rio de Janeiro would you take them out for a serious hang?

My hero is writer Chuck Palahniuk and I would take him to tour a favela.

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

I basically only wear black V-neck shirts, I can find them basically anywhere :)

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

I can hang around anywhere.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Hiking: I should do more.

Where do you go in Rio de Janeiro for a casual night out?

In rua Dias Ferreira, in Leblon.

Where would you go in Rio de Janeiro to celebrate some freaking good news?

At Riba in Dias Ferreira.

What’s your choice of transportation in Rio de Janeiro and why?

I sold my car and started only using the subway and Uber: much more practical.

Sugarloaf, Christ the Redeemer, Santa Tereza, beach in Ipanema and Leblon.

What are the Rio de Janeiro spots tourists should run from screaming?

Lapa and surroundings.

Tomorrow’s your last day in Rio de Janeiro. How do you spend it?

At the beach.

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?
