a bit about Lu

What are you working on these days?

Marketing Manager at a technology startup.

What drives you mad these days?

Inflexibility, bad music, boring people.

What makes you happy?

Hang out with my friends having a good beer, going to a concert, riding my bike and dancing to good music.

When was the last time you cried?

Probably yesterday, watching some emotional video on youtube.

What’s your latest musical obsession?

I go from pop to Indie rock to folk. Have been listening to Alessia Cara, Metronomy, Jungle, Mumford and Sons, Sia….

What was the last movie you watched? Was it any good?

I am a NetFlix and HBO Go addict!

When it’s time for a new wardrobe, where do you go?

I am definitely not a shopaholic. But whenever the seasons change I feel it’s time to buy something new. Love shopping at F.Y.I.

What’s your go-to café in Rio De Janeiro?

Definitely Kraft café in Ipanema. I’ts a small place close to my home. But usually I meet my friends in bars. Our regular place is Herr Pfeffer, a German bar in Conde Bernadote street with craft beer and a great pork knuckle.

What’s your favorite street or neighborhood to wander through?

Ipanema. Love to wander around to the small streets and galleries. I am always looking around for new street art and furnishings stores.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in Rio De Janeiro but never actually do?

I love to get my bike and ride for miles. But I don’t do it as regularly as I’d like.

Who’s your hero (dead or alive) and where would you take them to show them a good time?

Uhm…. Hard question. Today I am in the mood of dancing with David Bowie! Would take him to the weirdest party in town, maybe in Lapa. Maybe we could be heroes for just one day! :p

If it’s been raining outside for days and you’re sick of staying in – where would you go?

Movies and dinner.

What’s that place in Rio De Janeiro you feel like only you know about?

Meating. Small place in Gávea with the best burger in town.

If tomorrow was your last day in Rio De Janeiro before you left for good, how and where would you spend it?

Drinking wine in the lagoon (lagoa) with my friends.

Given the choice, mayor of which neighborhood would you be?

Lapa.

What’s the spot in Rio De Janeiro you wouldn’t be caught dead in?

Barra da Tijuca.

You’ve just received the best news ever. Where would you go to celebrate and with whom?

With my husband in a craft beer bar.

What’s the thing you love doing that isn’t work, relationship or family related?

Riding my bike or skateboarding with good music on my headphone.

When you feel like a night out, what’s your go-to place and why?

Any small music gig at Circo Voador or Sacadura Cabral. Love to find out about new bands.
