What do you do and why do you do it?

As you can see we are a couple who do a lot of things together but who are very different. Elton is a Credit Risk analyst, Ben is a Tourism and Hospitality student. But what we have in common? The passion for traveling! We believe travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. So we work and study to be able to travel as much as we can, to as many places as we can.

What’s the worst job you’ve ever had and why was it so effing bad?

For me (Elton) was my job in this multinational where I had no free time, no holidays and I wasn't paid for the extra hours I'd worked. So it was a waste of time, energy and money. For me (Ben) was my job in the bank, because I worked with very small minds, people full of prejudices who constantly morally harassed me for being gay.

Were you born and raised in Sao Paulo? If not, where did you grow up and what brought you to Sao Paulo?

Elton was born and raised in an small town, 90 km away from São Paulo. He moved to the capital in 2009, to study in the University of São Paulo. Ben always lived here.

What’s your current hood in Sao Paulo and what’s the best/worst thing about it?

We live in Vila Mariana, which is a very good and residential neighborhood. It's very central, with easy access to the entire city, surrounded by shops, restaurants and parks. This is not a very rich hood so we don't have fancy buildings, big houses and Intense security.

What kind of music do you listen to and what kind of music do you absolutely HATE?

We love POP (read Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, RuPaul, etc) and we hate pagode, a very annoying Brazilian kind of music.

You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?

Adele. We love her, love her songs, but let's face it, they are all about broken hearts.

Name the best TV shows of all time, and what makes them so good?

RuPaul's Drag Race, because of the drags, of course. Okuuurrrr? And Sense 8, have you watched it? You should! Just do it!

Name some spots in Sao Paulo that are good for a Tinder date.

Abbraccio, perfect restaurant with perfect sangria. The food will make you happy and the sangria even happier!

Donald Trump (please do it)

Who’s your hero and where in Sao Paulo would you take them out for a serious hang?

We can't really think of one here, but we would take anyone we love to eat and drink at Abbraccio

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

Anywhere we don't need to leave all our savings (usually Zara)

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

The north or east area of the city (we never ever go there)

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

All the cultural activities. Shame on us!

Where do you go in Sao Paulo for a casual night out?

We don't spend our money unless food is involved, so probably a restaurant or bar, with good food and drink. Many options here in São Paulo, really!

Where would you go in Sao Paulo to celebrate some freaking good news?

Abbraccio or Outback. Sorry guys, we really like food!

What’s your choice of transportation in Sao Paulo and why?

What are the Sao Paulo spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

Paulista Avenue, Ibirapuera Park, Vila Madalena neighborhood and the Municipal Market.

What are the Sao Paulo spots tourists should run from screaming?

The favelas. Don't trust Waze all the time, it can get you in trouble!

Tomorrow’s your last day in Sao Paulo. How do you spend it?

A last walk in Ibirapuera Park, lunch in any Italian restaurant, another walk but now in Paulista Avenue, coffee in some nice cafe there, drinks at Skye bar and pizza for dinner (we have the best pizza in the world)

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

Paris, because it is perfect! It's beautiful, it's charming, it's full of history, it has great food, amazing wine and cheese, and they have the Eiffel Tower!
