What do you do and why do you do it?

I am starting up an education app that connects teachers to students for any subject. My experience as a teacher in Korea has given me the insight of the business.

What are the best TV shows of all time?

The Wire, The Sopranos, Ozark, Narcos, Gomorrah, The Office(UK), It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, ATLANTA Breaking Bad, Seinfeld, South Park, Rick and Morty, True Detective Season 1, Chappelle show, Top Gear, Black Mirror, Battlestar Galactica, Mr Robot, Silicon Valley

Name some spots in Seoul that are good for a Tinder date.

1. Kodachaya is a great izakaya style restaurant. There are a few in Seoul, all are in basements and they are huge with about 8 different food stations in an island in the middle of the restaurant. and a huge selection of self serve drinks. 2. Pearl of the mudflats (literal translation) is a shellfish restaurant in Gangnam. It is funky little restaurant open 24 hours. The owner loves taking tastefully nude pics of himself and hanging them on the walls.

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

Daelim, there is nothing to do and is said to be dangerous at night.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Golf. It is too expensive.

What’s the most decadent / extreme dish you ever ate in Seoul and where did you get it?

Live Octopus. You can get it almost everywhere.

Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in Seoul that you particularly like?

This place is great. They make serious cocktails. It can take about 5 min to make a martini or mojito. They really are into the craft. Yea http://cafe.naver.com/cafelouis6.

What’s the most expensive restaurant / spa / hotel you’ve ever been to in Seoul? How much did it cost and what did you get there?

Minami is a very good but expensive $60-$100 for dinner for one person. It is a set menu but is the best sushi in Seoul.

What restaurant in Seoul looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

Where can you get the best cocktail in Seoul? Which one do you like?

The Makolita. Its local rice beer, tequila and margarita mix. You get it at Vatos in Itaewon.

Where would you take your partner in Seoul if you wanted to really pamper them?

Sinsa area is known for its really nice spas.

Which snacks can you only get in your country, and which ones do you recommend?

Rice cakes. I recommend the roasted ones.

What’s the one place you think is overrated in Seoul?

Gyeongbokgung Palace and Coex.

What’s the one place you think is underrated in Seoul?

Changdeokgung Palace

What are the Seoul spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

The DMZ, Seoul Grand Park, Seoul Childrens Park.

Fried Chicken and Beer on the Han River.

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

Carmel California. I love the beach, the town, the vineyards and the weather.
