a bit about Angelina

What do you do and why do you do it?

I'm a regular student currently in my final year of studies experiencing an existential quarter-life crisis and still figuring out what I really want to do in the future.

What’s the worst job you’ve ever had and why was it so effing bad?

Didn't really have any shitty job because I pretty much liked/was alright with what I was doing - probably the worst was dealing with a temperamental store supervisor. Bad bosses are the WORST, not the job.

Were you born and raised in Singapore? If not, where did you grow up and what brought you to Singapore?

Born and raised Lion City kid.

What’s your current hood in Singapore and what’s the best/worst thing about it?

I the part of Singapore where people always joke about requiring a passport when travelling over. Daaaaaz right the West side. IT'S NOT THAT BAD WE HAVE H&M AND SEPHORA HERE WHAT! *triggered*

What kind of music do you listen to and what kind of music do you absolutely HATE?

I listen from Muna to Paramore, Adele to The 1975. Whatever sounds right to me, I'd go for it.

You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?

"Lenka - Everything's Okay" I like little perk-me-ups when I'm down in the dumps. I don't like to fuel the heartbreak devil because they gotta learn sadness doesn't last forever.

Name the best TV shows of all time, and what makes them so good?

Name some spots in Singapore that are good for a Tinder date.

Probably Vivocity. The rooftop is my go-to place ALWAYS to stargaze.

Who’s your hero and where in Singapore would you take them out for a serious hang?

My late grandmother *sending you so much love - I LOVE YOU* Probably too late to say it now but I wished I had the chance to chug a can of Guinness with her at the bar.

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

The thai discotheque.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Cycle everywhere I go and not rely on the public transportation.

Where do you go in Singapore for a casual night out?

Probably the neighbourhood Starbucks or a cafe/bar in the Tanjong Pagar area.

Where would you go in Singapore to celebrate some freaking good news?

Depending on wherever I feel like going at that moment, probably the club or hit the buffet.

What’s your choice of transportation in Singapore and why?

A bicycle because I love the freedom I get out of it but I don't do it often. In Singapore we hustle and bustle our lives away.

What are the Singapore spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

Probably all the museums, especially the Changi Museum. If you're into museums. Otherwise, head over to Maxwell Road Hawker and ask a few Singaporeans for food recommendations.

What are the Singapore spots tourists should run from screaming?

Newton Circus Hawker for local delights - they specially target tourists with their "specialties". If you do, proceed with caution. Also skip the river cruises, stroll along the Singapore river instead.

Tomorrow’s your last day in Singapore. How do you spend it?

There was one night when my friends and I were drunk at the back of the Taboo (night club) and we found a few chucked away office roller chairs so we took them and rolled down Duxton Hill screaming our lungs out. It was one of the silliest things I've ever done so I'd like to revisit that memory.

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

I've never really been to a lot of places but I love Taiwan and Cambodia.
