What are the best TV shows of all time?
Gilmore Girls, Game of Thrones
Who’s your hero and where in Sydney would you take them out for a serious hang?
Chris Hadfield, singing astronaut! I'd take him on a craft beer tour of the inner west, stop by the axe throwing place (after all he is Canadian so should be good at throwing an axe?), then walk to the top of the big hill in Sydney Park so he can explain the stars to me.
Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?
Outlets and designer sales all the way. Zimmerman, Camilla and Marc, Bonds. I can sniff out a sale at a hundred paces.
What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?
Go anywhere by Ferry! It's a cheap way to see the harbour, and they even have a little bar aboard.
Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in Sydney that you particularly like?
Rambling Rascal Tavern. You need to spot the door guy, and make it past him, descend the stairs and a heaven of whisky cocktails and craft beer awaits. Settle in for the night, or have a cheeky afternoon tipple before exploring Hyde Park. Its a def no photo's type of place - just enjoy the experience of a delicious drink and knowing that you found this hidden gem!
Where can you get the best cocktail in Sydney? Which one do you like?
Bulletin Place - anything on the menu, they change it all the time. Be brave, drink a few.
Which snacks can you only get in your country, and which ones do you recommend?
Twisties. Swerve the chicken ones, stick with the Cheese.
What’s the one place you think is underrated in Sydney?
Cockatoo Island - an almost deserted island that you can get to by public transport. Yes please.
What are the Sydney spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?
The big 5! 1) Harbour Bridge - either Bridge Climb or the free option of walking across it (get up early and watch the sunrise from the bridge=magical), 2) Opera House 3) Bondi Beach 4) Ferry to anywhere on the harbour 5)Palm Beach
Tomorrow’s your last day in Sydney. How do you spend it?
Get up early - like before sunrise early and watch the sunrise from the headland at Coogee. Quick swim and a coffee, I'd then head to one of my fav cafes Three Blue Ducks in Rosebery for brekky. Head into town for a walk around Barangaroo, stopping for a lunchtime cocktail at Hotel Palisade. Afternoon nap, then head to Newtown for an awesome dinner and glass of wine at The Bach.
What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?
Lecce. It's gorgeous limestone buildings and laid back vibe, close to empty beaches but with lots great food, wine and wonderfully eclectic people. It's like a mini Florence minus the hordes of tourists and inflated prices.
