a bit about Roza

What are you working on these days?

I’m working on working. I just got back from LA, where I worked on collaborations with big brands and travel websites for my website.

What drives you mad these days?

Bad hair days.

What makes you happy?

My cat, named Mitzka. She’s just funny, she knows it and she’s uses it. When I’m sad or angry she knows how to make me laugh.

When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday, I had so much to do and I think it was the anxiety kicking in.

What is playing in your earphones nowadays?

Fetty Wap, the album is called Zoo Style. My favorite hip-hop artist at the moment, he makes me walk like a fierce woman and makes me dream about cruising around LA, with the palm trees, Fetty and a convertible.

What was the last movie you went to?

The new James Bond, Spectre. I like the suits and the gadgets. Israeli men don’t wear nice suits, use gadgets or have nice cars. So it’s a combination of what I miss here in Tel Aviv.

When it’s time for a new wardrobe, where do you go?

Helga Design, on HaMedina Square. It has all the brands I love – including Alexander Wang and MiuMiu. They have affordable prices at the end of the season.

Where’s your favourite street or neighbourhood to wander in?

My street, Chen Boulevard. It’s just a really soothing boulevard to stroll down.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city but never actually do?

Go to the beach, obviously, like a true Tel Avivian.

Who’s your hero and where would you take them out to eat or drink in your city?

Cookie Lyon, from the Empire T.V show. I’d take her out to dinner and it would have to be somewhere fancy – Dinings at The Norman Hotel, or the restaurant at Hotel Montefiore. Or maybe The Cantina.

What would make a perfect day in the sun for you?

It would start with a freshly squeezed beetroot, carrot and apple juice. Then a stroll in Neve Tsedek, one of the city’s first neighborhoods. Then I’d meet up with friends and just enjoy the sun – and we will grab the car and go on a road trip somewhere with hip-hop full blast.

What’s your go-to café?

Gerald, on Ibn Gabirol Street. It’s near my home and they have the best food for a small cafe.

If you were given a choice, mayor of which neighborhood would you be?

Neve Tsedek, it’s just so pretty, and there are lots of fashion stores in the area. There’s also a lot of cool people who live in beautiful homes. Sounds like my kind of town.

What’s the place in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

The central bus station, it’s just too creepy and scary for me. This place brings out my PTSD.

You’ve just got the best news ever. Where would you go to celebrate and with whom?

The Cantina, with my closest friends, for good wine and food.

What do you love doing the most that is not work, relationship or family related?

Watching TV shows like The Empire, The Kardashians, Modern Family, or reading.

When you feel like going on a night out, what’s the first place you usually consider going to?

A night out will be a dinner and a drink, probably at Cafe Europa or Rothschild 12. I love the atmosphere, the crowd, the music and the fact that you can unexpectedly bump into someone you know and have a great night out.
