What are the Tokyo spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

Asakusa! There is a famous temple where the famous big red Japanese lantern welcomes you. You can enjoy authentic street food at the temple alley in any season.

Do’s and don’ts in Tokyo: (Ex: Tipping: yes/ no, public transport tips, safety tips etc.):

It's better to avoid getting ordinal trains at the commuting time (7-9am / 6-8pm) with big suitcases. You can consider Limousine bus services or special express trains between the airport & your location if you need to travel around those times.

What do you do and why do you do it?

I run the first school of Tahitian dance & fitness called "Tahiti Dance Fitness Japan". The school was started in Singapore by Tahitian sisters, and I started the Japan branch as a licensed instructor. Tahiti Dance Fitness changed my life. Since I joined Tahiti Dance Fitness in Singapore 6 years ago, I became fitter and healthier inside & out, surrounded by only positive people who love its program and community. The program worked well for my self-confidence & self-expression too, I no longer have barriers to stop me from facing new challenges! Now I am here in Japan to share my experience and inspire all women who would like to change.

How much do you spend on an average night out on the town?

¥3,000 〜 ¥5,000 ($30 - $50) includes food and drinks at 1 or 2 restaurants (Normally we hop between 2-3 places in a night).

What’s the one place in Tokyo you think is underrated?

Ichigaya where I provide my "Tahiti Dance Fitness" classes. The area has a big moat you can see beautiful cherry blossoms in at springtime. There are some nice hidden restaurants / cafes and one of the most famous shrines "Yasukuni Shrine" nearby.

Where would you take a date for a romantic night out?

Tokyo Disney Sea. There are some reasonable night tickets available normally. You can enjoy the romantic scenery with beautiful lights and you can enjoy alcoholic drinks here (Not in Tokyo Disney Land).

It's freeeeezing out - what should a visitor do?

Explore Tokyo Station! You can visit several big shopping malls, buildings and hotels without climbing above ground. Subways are connected all over places up to Ginza Area.

Your perfect night out in Tokyo includes:

Musical night at the theatre in Shibuya or Hamamatsu cho.

Best place for a cheap bite on-the-go:

Inside of the ticket control at JR Tokyo station. There are many stalls for any kind of foods suitable for take-away.

You’re meeting the mayor of Tokyo - what constructive criticism would you give them?

A more flexible working style so that we can reduce the disaster of commuting!
