What do you do and why do you do it?

I am a Creative Communicator, currently helping two small businesses with their Marketing strategies and branding. One is a Media and Entertainment company where I get to also co-produce a personal film that I've been working on! I have an eye for branding and a voice for story telling.

You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?

Even When it Hurts - Hillsong United, Heartsong - Karen Jewels, Throne Room - Kim Walker, and Steffany Gretzinger's 'The Undoing' album. Worship Music lifts me up and connects me to the one true Healer - Jesus. I find when I used to listen to other heartbreak songs, I would just mellow in my pain and not see beyond the horizon. I like to recognize my pain but still see the light through it.

What are the best TV shows of all time?

Okay don't make fun of me but I barely watch TV. In fact, I've never personally owned a TV. Which is strange because I am now working on a film with a Media Company. But I'm still suck in the 90s. Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Full House, Saved by the Bell, and Family Matters are on my top 5 list. Black Mirror and The Underground are two more recent shows that I wish had more episodes!

Who’s your hero and where in Toronto would you take them out for a serious hang?

Jesus Christ. I would take Him to Humber Bay Park with some good red wine, grapes, cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, broccolli and steak for our picnic (Not joking.)

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

Honestly, I check out various stores from Zara to H&M to National Thrift. I am a thrift shopper and sales rack fanatic. I also get some of my clothes made based off outfits I find on Pinterest. Then of course like a true nomad....you borrow your friends clothes when you sleepover and never give them back! :D

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

Nowhere! I truly believe that God is always with me so sometimes I am a bit too carefree that wisdom even goes out the door. I just feel like there are humans everywhere to see and places to experience! However......it is wise not to go to Reagent or Flemingdon Park alone at night lol.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Taking a private boat ride on Lake Ontario in the summer!!! Man. I love the WATERFRONT!

Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in Toronto that you particularly like?

Cold Tea in Kensington Market!!

What’s the most expensive restaurant / spa / hotel you’ve ever been to in Toronto? How much did it cost and what did you get there?

Probably Lavelle for my friends birthday. The 18oz angus was $89 and a cocktail was $25. So I just got a glass of wine for $17 and ate outside. I am more of a split a bottle of wine with your friends and eat where you can afford an app, dinner and desert type of gal. I like to call it resourceful! I save my money for experiences. What I love about Toronto is you can actually find a way to have a good time without spending a dime (okay I just wanted that to rhyme.) But there are always free festivals and if you make friends with locals and tell them that you're visiting - someone's going to pay for something! #Canadians

What restaurant in Toronto looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

It's sad to say but a lot of Caribbean and African food joints. Please try Caribbean or African cuisine in Toronto; specifically The Real Jerk and/or Cool Runnings. Then I would say Suya Spot for some good bbq'd meat.

Where would you take your partner in Toronto if you wanted to really pamper them?

First we would rent bikes and ride around Lakeshore because a little sweat ain't ever hurt nobody! Then we will relax at Novo Spa and have dinner at the Thompson Hotels Rooftop before spending the night there! Thinking about it makes me so warm and dreamy inside. Now time to find the man! hahaha.

Which snacks can you only get in your country, and which ones do you recommend?

MacKintosh's Creamy Toffee! There is NO other toffee like it that I've tried lol. Also try "Kinder Surprise" eggs no matter what age you are. There is a surprise toy in every egg!

What’s the one place you think is overrated in Toronto?

The Toronto Exhibition lol (CNE) So many people might judge me for saying that. Haha!

What’s the one place you think is underrated in Toronto?

Sunnyside Pavillion

What are the Toronto spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

Kensington Market, Centre Island, and a relaxing evening at Humber Bay Park.

Tomorrow’s your last day in Toronto. How do you spend it?

Wake up in the morning and ask God if there's anything I MUST do on earth before getting a luxurious spa massage and manicure. Then I would throw a huge day-party picnic at Humber Bay Park where everyone is filmed! Then a bonfire there in the evening. If I am married I would want to spend my final moments with bae!

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

Nairobi, Kenya. It is very multicultural so everyone brings a little flavour to the motherland. You get the amazing weather, beautiful views, fresh food, and meet tons of artistic people from around the globe......all in the Motherland!!
