What do you do and why do you do it?

I’m a User Experience Designer at a tech company. I work closely with the technical team to conceptualize and devise interactive experiences for our customers across the world. Understanding people and solving their problems was my biggest motivation to study psychology, and which coupled with my creativity and love of design drove me into where I’m at now.

Who’s your hero and where in Vancouver would you take them out for a serious hang?

My dad is my hero. I like to take him to Granville island and buy him ice cream.

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

I like shopping in local design stores, and any kind of minilistic brands.

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

The edgy of Chinatown

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Kayak. I'm still waiting for a perfect summer day to get on the water.

What’s the most decadent / extreme dish you ever ate in Vancouver and where did you get it?

Korean fried chicken. Try soy sauce chicken in Zabu, you won't regret that!

The Keefer bar hidden in Chinatown

What’s the most expensive restaurant / spa / hotel you’ve ever been to in Vancouver? How much did it cost and what did you get there?

Miku. About $90. Amazing sushi.

What restaurant in Vancouver looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

Bao down.

Where can you get the best cocktail in Vancouver? Which one do you like?

Nightingale. Everything is so good.

Where would you take your partner in Vancouver if you wanted to really pamper them?

All you can eat BBQ.

Which snacks can you only get in your country, and which ones do you recommend?

Vegna cookies. You can find it in any coffee shop in downtown.

What’s the one place you think is overrated in Vancouver?

English Bay

What’s the one place you think is underrated in Vancouver?

False Creek Seawall. This's an incredibly gorgeous place to see Vancouver skyline. Day or night, rain or shine.

What are the Vancouver spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

Granville Island, Stanley Park, Gastown, UBC campus, any nice sushi place

Tomorrow’s your last day in Vancouver. How do you spend it?

I would have a nice brunch, do some shopping in Gastown, grab a coffee and take a walk in a seawall, and go to a yoga class.

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

Montreal. Falling love for this city felt easy and natural. It's vibrant, dynamic, and full of surprises.
