What do you do and why do you do it?

I am a test developer. I develop test items for a nationwide standardized assessment. I enjoy making "the puzzles" and learning something new every day.

Name some spots in Washington DC that are good for a Tinder date.

You can't go wrong with the combination of Barcelona Wine Bar and Dolcezza. Blackwall Hitch in Alexandria is beautiful too...

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

I love hanging out on the Potomac river-- party cruises, sightseeing cruises, and kayaking are so fun! Sadly my friends do not share my enthusiasm.

The Gibson and Bar Charley

What restaurant in Washington DC looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

El Rey is super loud and impossible to get in on weekends, but their tacos and tamales are not bad at all.

Where can you get the best cocktail in Washington DC? Which one do you like?

I love Bar Charley and Cafe Bonaparte. By the way, Izakaya has a great sake selection. My favorite sake there is "Spring Snow".

Where would you take your partner in Washington DC if you wanted to really pamper them?

Not technically in DC, but I think Alexandria waterfront is really romantic.

What’s the one place you think is overrated in Washington DC?

Most of those small-plate restaurants. This small-plate trend is so overrated. Oh, and Georgetown Cupcake -- it's good-ish, but probably not worth waiting in line for 30 minutes.

What are the Washington DC spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

National Gallery of Art, especially the East Building

Tomorrow’s your last day in Washington DC. How do you spend it?

I will run a full loop around the National mall in the morning, have brunch on 14th street, spend the afternoon in National Gallery of Art (specifically the "Rothko room"), have dinner near Georgetown Waterfront, then take a walk along the Potomac. Then I'll head to El Centro to dance.

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

Tokyo. It is so unique and exciting... and the food there... YUM!
