What do you do and why do you do it?

I am currently doing a bachelor of science in psychology at the University of Zurich. While I love listening to people, analysing and potentially helping them with their troubles, my real aspiration is to do research. Cognitive sciences are my main interest, including neuropsychology and learning psychology. I'm just fascinated by the way our brain works and want to know more about it. However, I'm only in my 2nd year and who knows what I really end up doing when I finish my studies.

You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?

Way Down We Go - Kaleo, I Found - Amber Run, Run to You - Pentatonix, Light in the Hallway - Pentatonix, Shatter Me - Lindsey Stirling, My Immortal - Evanescence, Caravan - Passenger, Ex's and Oh's - Elle King, Small Hands - Keaton Henson, Light of the Seven - Ramin Djawadi, Run Boy Run - Woodkid, Defying Gravity - WICKED/Idina Menzel, No Good Deed - WICKED/Idina Menzel, Illumielle - Jo Blankenburg

What are the best TV shows of all time?

Game of Thrones, Once Upon a Time (ignore the quality, it's fairytales!), The Handmaids Tale, Planet Earth (BBC), Sherlock

Name some spots in Zurich that are good for a Tinder date.

I've honestly never been on a Tinder date, but the lake is beautiful and there are some cute cafés and restaurants along the promenade by the Bellevue. The Hönggerberg is also quite beautiful if you like to have a view.

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

ModCloth! ModCloth and Etsy.

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

Langstrasse. The only time I go there is once a week for dance-class because the ZeoT center is near it.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

Hanging out at the lake. I love to swim, but university keeps me busy most of the time and during the summer I have so many other plans.

What’s the most decadent / extreme dish you ever ate in Zurich and where did you get it?

I wouldn't call it decadent, but it was certainly the most expensive: Fillet of beef with pasta at the Ferlin - an Italian restaurant close to the Central.

Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in Zurich that you particularly like?

It isn't hidden at all, but it's still pretty unknown by non-students: the BQM. It's a bar right below the Polyterrasse (ETH) where mostly students of the ETH and UZH go - not only because it's cheap but also because it's a great spot to meet other students.

What restaurant in Zurich looks crap, but the food’s amazing?

The Outback Lodge at the Stadelhofen station. It's Australian food and the restaurant itself looks very rustic on first sight - but the food! I recommend the kangaroo if you're up to try something new.

Where can you get the best cocktail in Zurich? Which one do you like?

I wish I knew! However I do know that the Tales Bar near Europaallee has an incredible selection of drinks. Personally I like anything sweet with gin in it, but I don't drink too often - no money.

Where would you take your partner in Zurich if you wanted to really pamper them?

Either to the Hamam spa in the Niederdörfli or I'd get them a massage at BaliMassage near Binz.

Which snacks can you only get in your country, and which ones do you recommend?

Zweifel Chips! They're the best!

What are the Zurich spots a first-time visitor can’t miss?

The opera house, the Chinawiese, the Prime Tower - including the bar on the top (Clouds) and the Uetliberg.

Tomorrow’s your last day in Zurich. How do you spend it?

Probably packing, because I procrastinate a lot.

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

London, because I'm a musical-nerd and WestEnd is the greatest thing ever.
