What do you do and why do you do it?

Currently in my free time, apart from plenty of sport (mainly beach-volleyball), I'm trying to invest more time on my blog (ballsnbeans.com). Why? Apart from being passionate about sport and travel, coffee and gelato are two other passions of mine and I'd like to make it easier for people to find good coffee and gelato..

You’re broken hearted - what tracks does your heartbreak playlist consist of?

I'd guess Unbreak my heart by Toni Braxton ;)

What are the best TV shows of all time?

Never watched much TV but The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is a classic. Being a football lover, of course Match of the Day.

Name some spots in Zurich that are good for a Tinder date.

What's Tinder?? ;) Bros, Beans & Beats for some of the best coffee and drinks in town along with great (usually) HipHop beats. Gelati Tellhof for an ice cream date. Tales Bar for an endless cocktail menu to read in case it's a boring date. Xenix either just for a relaxed drink, hopefully outside if the weather's good or for an artier movie.

Who’s your hero and where in Zurich would you take them out for a serious hang?

Phil Knight - I'd try to make him feel at home. So I'd take him to the latest US food joint in town, Yardbird Southern Fried Chicken, followed up by a coffee at Coffee Shack, or vice versa..

Where do you buy those fabulous clothes of yours?

Usually whilst traveling. Occasionally also online, for example at siroop, who's actually my day job employer :)

What’s the area/ spot in town you’ll never be caught dead in?

Starbucks, apart from the fact that I don't like their coffee, I try to avoid chains as much as possible. It's nice if a city has it's own identity and that all high streets don't look the same around the world.

What’s the thing you LOVE to do in your city that you never get to do?

In my city, I'm not really sure, but to be honest, considering I've been living in Switzerland for almost 5 years, I really haven't seen that much of the country. Thun, Geneva, Bern... are all still on my list.

Is there a hidden bar / hole in the wall in Zurich that you particularly like?

They aren't exactly hidden, but the four ViCafe locations around town are so small that they are almost like a hole in the wall. A hole in the wall, serving great coffee :)

Where can you get the best cocktail in Zurich? Which one do you like?

Tales Bar. Not good at remembering names so don't know the name of the drink

Where would you take your partner in Zurich if you wanted to really pamper them?

Hürlimann Spa

Tomorrow’s your last day in Zurich. How do you spend it?

Doing a final coffee & gelato tour, visiting my favourite places, as well as playing a final round of beach-volleyball :)

What’s your favorite vacation city in the world and why?

Cape Town - beautiful place, a great mix of people and plenty of very good restaurants, bars and coffee shops.
