Before there was Burning Man, there has always been the Adventure Playground on the Berkeley Marina, a place for kids to be completely creative with hammers, saws, and paints (provided by staff). The result is a fantastical, outdoor, kid-built world of buildings, boats, towers, and mazes. So much fun and just enough "danger" to make it really memorable! Explore the existing structures or create your own. Oh and there's also a zip line.
See the website for important information before visiting. They take donations of certain materials that stimulate creative play, with this intriguing note : "Yes, we do take pianos, but only in the summer."
