Arthur's Seat is a must do while you're in Edinburgh, it takes somewhere between one and three hours to get up and down depending on your level of fitness. Its located in Hollyrood park and is 250m or 822 feet high, and depending on the weather the paths up can be very muddy and slippery. Good footwear strongly recommended. You can also visit St Anthony’s Chapel - a 15th-century medieval chapel. Once at the top you can see down over the Scottish Parliament buildings and Hollyrood Palace. If you time your trip right you can get a picture over Salisbury Crags of one of Edinburgh's occasional spectacular sunsets.
