Yeogwan means 'inn' in Korean. This 80-year-old building used to be the home for many artists in the 20th century Seoul. Now it's used as an art space. I think this place's uncomfortable, 'abandoned' atmosphere helps you look at things in a different way. Go to its second floor and find the bridge connected to 'Boan 1942', the new building next to it. Boan Chaegbang (bookstore/cafe), on the basement floor of that building, is my secret spot that's still less known on SNS. Its dim lighting, see-through floor, and traditional Korean tea tables won't let you go. Check out its website for upcoming exhibitions (it's in English, yay).
