Right by Shibuya station, this understated cozy coffee shop supposedly was the inspiration for Blue Bottle Coffee. My recommendation is to sit at the counter to watch the baristas do their work. From warming the cup, hand selecting each piece of coffee bean, hand dripping, to selecting unique coffee cups, there won't be a dull moment just sitting and watching their artisanal coffee crafting! For something visually unique, order the cold "Au Lait Glacé" which will be served in a wine glass. Amazing rare cheesecake to pair with your drink, huge beautiful seasonal flower arrangements. Aim for weekdays and avoid 3:00pm cafe rush hour. No Wi-Fi.
